  • Midget - As well as the plan, I was using the OPKs from around CD8 and temping. My temps were erratic and the rise didn't correspond with the positive OPK but I still followed the plan to the letter. So no matter what the data tells you, stick with the plan and see what happens. Worked for us! Good luck :)

Just been reading about the sperm meets egg plan. When it says BD on the first day of positive OPK and the two days after, miss a day then BD again - when using the clearblue digital advanced (the disposable ones not the monitor) is the positive the same as the peak or the high? I assume the peak??? Anyone any idea?

Sorry I can't help with this as I was using cheapy OPK with a Tesco own brand for confirmation. We got two days of positive and went from the first one as Day 1 of the 3.

The Clearblue sounds confusing to me, could you buy cheapies and do them alongside?

So this morning when I put my temp into FF I noticed it was saying I should test today. So I got up and used an Internet cheapy- and there's a faint line! Did another one with my second pee of the day and still a faint line. I'm not quite sure I believe it though.

Hubby is going to pop out to get me a more expensive test from Boots which I'll do tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
  • Oooooh sounds promising Pink Petal. Fingers crossed for a prominent line tomorrow :j

    Fingers crossed for you pinkpetal

DH is feeling a bit run down, luckily after tea he is feeling perkier but he's gone to bed. Hoping an early night and plenty of sleep will pick him up.
AF should be all done and dusted tomorrow. Mixed between trying the SMEP or taking a regular BD/relaxed approach.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

  • The SMEP is tough going Newthrift but I was upset that we had missed the boat other cycles due to OH working away. I think every other day or every 3 days may work just as well. The last thing a couple needs is pressure or stress so BDing around ov time is the only thing you need really.

I am in a bit of a state at the minute. I will post on other thread but wanted to talk to you lot as you have all been through so much that the wealth of experience is vast and I obviously feel comfortable here. Hope that's okay.

I drink Green tea excessively, usually about 4-5 cups a day. I happened to stumble across some info last night when looking at what not to eat. I found that not only should I not be drinking more than 200 mg of Caffeine (1 mug Green tea 75mg), it is possible that excessive amounts can cause MC and that it can affect folic acid from working (been taking since November). I'm so anxious. Obviously going to book GP appt tomorrow but I am wondering what damage I may have done and how I am going to cope without tea in my life - can I switch to normal tea and how many cups is okay?? Does anyone know anything about this? Not once have I read it anywhere before :(
