Tell me about it easily distracted -I don't register anything before 10am and three cups of tea!

I was looking over the last few months entries on Ovia app - assuming one ovulates (which isn't always the case) is ovulation always 14 days before AF?
I'm reading too much and starting to confuse myself....

Here's hoping we are all lucky this month - have a good Friday - almost the weekend

*meepmeep* I'm actually reading up on this stuff just now as I think my luteal phase is too short. It's not always 14 days between ov and AF, the average is apparently 12-16 days but it varies from person to person. However, your own luteal phase is generally the same length every time...so if your AF is late it usually means you've ov'd late. It can vary by 1 day either way but usually not more than that.

The reason I've been reading up is that mine are varying wildly, some are only 8 days and some are 12...which it looks like means I'm not temping correctly (probably true!) and my average LP is only 10 days which is probably quite short...something I think I need to discuss with my doc but I'm burying my head in the sand a bit at the mo.

    Hope this helps!

Meep as pink says, LP can vary from person to person, 14 days is quite often used as an average based on an assumption that cycle is 28 days. If you know when you ov you can work out your LP from that.

Feeling a bit sorry for myself today - work is melting my head, there's a sing & sign baby class going on beside where I work, & someone has tagged me on a post on fb about how hard motherhood is :mad: Roll on wine o'clock.

Sorry for the pity party, good everyone else is good.
  • Hi all. Never thought I'd be writing this but I got a BFP today (First response 14DPO). Still a bit in shock and have spent the day wandering around in a daydream grinning to myself like an idiot. Going to spend the weekend with OH digesting the news, you all are the first to hear apart from us

I will come back and read often as I really want to follow your stories and I really do hope to see more good news.

If I can offer a little tip for anyone, it would be that we followed the Sperm meets Egg plan this cycle and it's seemed to work for us

As for me, AF is due in 6 days and I feel like I normal do around this time. Craving junk food and although no stomach ache it feels bit tender. I assume if I get a BFP if somehow feel different.
