Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 13

I think Ovia is probably just being over cautious because if you were catching the end of your surge you'd be ov-ing imminently and so yes you would be at the end of your fertile period, but realistically you probably have the 12-36 hours leftOfficially Mrs B as of March 2013
TTC since Apr 2015, baby B born March 20170 -
Thanks ladies,
Feel so much better after your advice. All we can do now is DTD as much as we can during the next few days. OH will be pleased :rotfl:0 -
Millie - sorry you feel the need to leave. I know how you feel as I've actually been here 2 years now, have thought myself about joining the other thread but don't feel I belong there as they all seem to be having investigations or treatment. I'm not eligible for either yet as I have conceived twice in the last 2 years but lost them. That's why I'm not on any of the lists on here, and mainly lurk and only occasionally post now.
In fact I joined when it was the TTC 11 thread and think I remember you from that thread Claire, welcome back.
Feeling a bit sorry for myself when thinking about that and realising I soon hit 35
Hugs to anyone else who needs them.0 -
Newthrift congratulations! Hope all goes well for you.
Millie sorry to see you go. I know how you feel- been 9 months for me but I have PCOS and my cycle has gone haywire. I looked at the other thread but was very confused and had no idea what people were talking about and got quite overwhelmed. If you find a solution like maybe a third thread let me know!
Rachy ironically part of the reason I haven't been posting much recently is that my OH is on a temp contract, promised a permanent contract, then there was a big review which froze all recruitment left him with no idea whether he was going to have a job beyond 5th November. Only confirmed a few days ago he was staying after all! Grrr. Whilst we didn't actively decide to hang fire we didn't actually end up doing much for a while. We would have carried on anyway I think given time is not on my side and that we have put it off for financial reasons too much already. Good luck in whatever you decide.
Now OH's job has been confirmed he's suddenly got on board with project TTC and the timings and wow is it unsexy. I'm now getting a taste of my own medicine! Fingers crossed we haven't completing messed up this month. I have finally booked a GP appointment, but they don't have anything until start of NovemberSaving for a deposit. £5440 of £11000 saved so far:j0 -
Had a little good news today, other half will be back from working away a day earlier than I thought which (fingers crossed) brings him home on cd8 if AF comes when I think it will. Bang on time (no pun intended) for SMEP .
Fingers crossed0 -
Good luck Munchkin with SMEP. And I agree easilydistracted, planning sex isn't sexy! It feels different when you know part of the reason for doing it is because it's the right time of the month. Ah well.
I got a negative on an ovulation stick today so I guess I'm in two week wait territory now?0 -
Thank you.
Fingers crossed for you Ratison0 -
A0503 - hope the spotting is a good sign, fingers crossed......
Claire - hope your stay is short and you stay chilled out.
Butterfly - no real advice, but if in doubt, BD! :rotfl: hubby often aks if it's a good time, I just said don't know, maybe, ha ha ha. Generally I think if you have a strong line, OV is coming soon.......
Hugs to you too saver. You guys should join together that thread together so it's not all treatment and stuff.....
Fingers crossed ratison. Enjoy your 'rest'. Lol
Munchkin, glad the timing all worked out great
Not much to report from me, still waiting to get a bit closer to OV so not a great deal happening. You're right ratison, planning sex isn't always sexy and fun. Sometimes you just need to get the job done, lol. Hubby and I laugh a lot as it's ridiculous and funny.TTC #3..........0 -
Thanks Twinpig, I have heard its a good sign and its the first time I've had it, but TTC can be a cruel game so I know it doesn't guarantee a BFP and could just be completely random. I'll test over the weekend to see if it did mean anything.
Good luck to all those about to commence bd'ing and good luck to everyone in the TWW. xx0 -
