How many toilets/bathrooms does your home have?

1 toilet here. We had been quite used to to managing it with 5 of us (when hubby was still here) and didn't appear to have any problems but with just 2 of us here most of the time now, we certainly noticed the short comings of having only 1 loo when the other two came home from uni at Easter!
I suppose it is what you get used to and don't know any different until circumstances change (although I grew up with 2 toilets in my parent's house!)We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I live in a 3 bedroomed apartment which has 3.
There is a family bathroom and the two larger bedrooms have ensuites.
Overnight guests use the loo in the guest bedroom, and visitors use the family bathroom.
Only I use the loo in my ensuite. So I usually only have the one loo to clean. But I am always amazed by how messy male visitors are - and I hate the fact that they always leave the loo seat up.

One toilet in the upstairs bathroom. As there are only two of us, it rarely causes problems. However, we are about to build a utility room onto the kitchen, and I think it would be better to incorporate a downstairs loo. Should we bother, as I bet I still end up going upstairs? If we get too old to use the stairs, I'm sure we can get a stairlift!
I would. As you get older you may find that you ned to go more often, and that going up and downstairs becomes tiring long before you reach the stairlift stage . Plus, as your friends age, you are more likely to have visitors who might struggle with stairs, so they would appreciate it, too.All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
We live in a 1930s house, built more to 1920s taste as we are rural.
When we moved in, we had an ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE bath in the bathroom and a beautiful green, square hand wash basin, with a separate loo beside the bathroom, and high flush loo entered from outside the house but integral within the house, which we call the garden loo.
Now, we still have a separate loo next door to the bathroom, but a smaller bath with shower attachment and a free standing quadrant shower and hand wash basin.
Couple of years ago, I had the high flush outdoor loo replaced by a low flush loo, built up a little to be higher and more comfortable for my husband, who prefers not to go upstairs to wee. This nice little thing has a small hand wash basin built in to the top of the cistern which recycles hand wash water to flush. I added a wall mounted paper towel dispenses which houses a circular terry towel and Bob's your uncle. I only use this loo when working n the garden, but of course it makes sense as I can so easily wash my hands after using fertilisers, etc.“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

Two, one upstairs in the bathroom and a downstairs loo. Upstairs get slightly more usage than downstairs, but it's really handy having both.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Two in a four bedroom house (3 doubles and a single/office). The upstairs bathroom has a bath and the downstairs one was extended during our renovations to make room for a shower. They are cleaned once a week.
I don't see any need for any more at the moment. I really hate houses that have four tiny bedrooms all with en-suites. There's no need. I'd much rather have four decent size rooms (or three at least) and fewer bathrooms. We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

3 Bed house. Two toilets, one bathroom.
One downstairs with sink (guess you'd call it a cloakroom) & one in upstairs bathroom.0 -
We have two also in our house. More convenient to us, especially morning.0

5 loos in total in the main house, one in the granny annex, as follows
3 of the 4 bedrooms have ensuites - shower, basin toilet
1 main bathroom - bath, basin, toilet
1 Downstairs cloakroom - basin toilet
1 bathroom in the granny annex - shower, basin, toilet.
Just two of us living now in the main house so getting a loo / shower isnt much of a problem. My wifes folks live in the granny annex.
Cleaner comes in 5 hrs a week and cleans them and the rest of the house.0
