How many toilets/bathrooms does your home have?

Just wondering and how it affects you....do you hate having to clean 4 toilets or do you suffer waiting outside your one bathroom door while someone takes a long bath? We have only one toilet which is in the bathroom upstairs and I anticipate having issues with this when my 3 young children are teenagers. Only other time this has been a problem is when we had norovirus

2.
1 in the bathroom, and 1 in the downstairs loo.
No ensuites. It's an old (ish) late 1970s detached house, and ensuites weren't really a thing then.

not enough!!! And both toilets upstairs!! I'd LOVE a downstairs loo!! .. there used to be one but the previous occupants made the kitchen bigger.
there was only one when we moved in so the bathroom wall was moved so we could add a second in the bathroom.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

We've just got the 2 in our 2 bedroom flat.
It's not that hard cleaning more of them as you can clean them less often than if one toilet were used twice as much.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

One, combined toilet and bathroom.
Since there's only one of me, this is sufficient for my needs, I can't take two showers at once!Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
One upstairs and one downstairs. I have lived with just one loo but it was separate to the bathroom and therefore not a problem.
In my parents' house every bedroom has an en suite, plus there is a family bathroom, a downstairs cloakroom and an ouside loo. It just took me a while to count them up - they have seven toilets! Beyond ridiculous in my humble opinion. When I went to stay with them in their new house I discovered another bathroom on my last day that I hadn't known was there - I had thought it was a cupboard. Although come to think of it they have downsized as their previous home had ten - they are a little strange about "facilities"!
I have never lived in these houses as they became much better off after we all left home. They clearly like space....and toilets!0 -
#1 - downstairs loo is primarily used by the sprog so it needs checking a couple of times a day and usually needs cleaning every day.
#2 - used by me and my husband and cleaned twice a week.
#3 - checked daily in case the sprog has used it! Cleaned once a week.
#4 - seldom used so generally only needs cleaning every few weeks or when we have anyone staying.
My husband just finds it funny that I always go upstairs to use the toilet rather than use the one downstairs.0 -
We have 3, one downstairs loo one family bathroom (now rarely used) and one in our en-suite that we put in when we moved in. When I lived with my parents and siblings 8 of us shared one bathroom and one separate loo upstairs. Cleaning is no problem we do swish and swipe and the cleaner does them all thoroughly once a fortnight.0

2 together in the bathroom!
What??? Do you and your family members sit side by side with the paper, having a chat and a poo together? :eek:cooeeeeeeeee :j :wave:0 -
One, in the upstairs bathroom. It's only me and OH so one toilet is plenty. Growing up we had one toilet between 5 of us, I don't remember it causing any major issues, we all just knew that there would be a wait sometimes.
I can see the advantages of having an extra downstairs loo but find the excess of bathrooms some new builds have quite bizarre. E.g. ensuites for all the bedrooms as well as a family bathroom, as well as a downstairs/cloakroom toilet. I'd rather have more living space!0
