Yes.You had a plumber in to do a job, for all you know he could have been checking the rooms to see where the pipes are and running the water upstairs to check the pressure.
It was an electrician and even if it's part of the job I'd still expect them to ask or at the very least politely inform me they'd be checking elsewhere in the house and why rather than just doing what they want without a word. Also if the poor man needed the toilet urgently for number 2s I would not have made an issue out of it to embarrass him.
Takes 2 seconds to ask and he'd have done better doing so if it was that urgent and he hadn't a clue where the bathroom was. It's not like he'd have to explain what he was going to do or the urgency so no issue or embarrassment that way, more embarrassing to get caught where you shouldn't be.0 -

Surely it's polite to show any workers where the toilet is when they first come into your house? Even a simple 'toilet is upstairs opposite the stairs' would do.0

Ok I retract my comment0

Why did you not go up at the time and see who or why he was in the bedroom rather than complaining about it afterwards?0

As someone who has had a workman going through her knicker drawer and other places where he shouldn't have been I sympathise with you. It is an unpleasant feeling they leave and he will never work in my house again.0

Was he in your bedroom because he was trying to get a phone signal and he didnt want to go outside because it was raining but he still should of asked about going upstairsLet them eat cake (Marie Antoinette 1765)0
