Sat 9th/ Sun 10th April - what small DFW things will you do this weekend?

Comments

  • Hi all, I am fairly new to this site, and working on becoming debt free. This weekend I have dried the washing outside and reduced the amount of time the heating is on for!

Also, instead of signing up to a gym, I have downloaded some fitness apps onto my phone and am going to give those a go instead!

Going to get on with tidying and preparing lunches for the week ahead.

*A stopper from greenhouse rainwater collection plumbing has gone missing, rendering it useless. Problem solved by inserting small empty plastic bottle. I do love a low-tech, zero spend solution.

Foxgloves: Sounds like an awesome engineering solution. Perhaps fill the bottle with sand or gravel so that it doesn't collapse in on itself if it's under pressure?

    Hi April Awesome-ees,

    Quick post today.

Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Month Eleven:

    * OH and I went for a mid-length hike in the hills
so that OH could photograph some waterfalls. Took coffee and choccy with us. No spending other than on petrol.

    * Came home and washed out muddy trousers in the sink before putting in the machine on a 20 min wash.

    * Muddy boots cleaned by hand and are drying outside. Will get some dubbing on them when they're dry to prolongue their life.

    * Checked online banking.

    How about you guys?

Happy Sunday peoples :D up early again with DD as she's still not quite 100%, although she's denying anything is wrong with her :o

We were planning on going to a local farm for Sunday lunch as a treat, but they didn't call me back yesterday and now DD not quite right we might just have day at home instead. My list:

New paint pape samples on wall to narrow down for paint samples - done
Move money from clothes piggy that I didn't do yesterday - done
Walk to post office and post fleabay item, package the rest that have bids on that will sell tonight - hmmm, get DH to do it tomorrow with some others selling tonight :D
Get cooked roast pork out of freezer to make roast dinner later. - defrosted, just off to do veggies
Look at free will letter we had through the post and work out if we can use it to make a joint will, look whe local solicitor taking part in scheme are. Thanks to someone on here who posted the link. Think it was Crazy Lady :o
Iron clothes for back to school - done, looks like we can both do it. This has been on my annoying things list for ages, just need to make appointment.
Make some soup for my lunches - see what I can find
Make packed lunch for DD for tomorrow - to do

Think that's about all, be back later PF:)

    Updated list :D we've also:

Taken something back to next town, used free drink and cake offer whilst there. I had drink DH had cake. How we've changed, before we would have bought cake each and hot drink :o took drink for smalls
Weather was lovely so made impromptu picnic and went to local park/open space. Got a bit cold whilst there but got us out for a few hours.
Managed 3 loads of washing all dried on line, including all beds changed :D set another for cheap leccy tonight.

Right off to get ahead for week ahead.

    Hi my lovelies,

Not been around much as I've been ill - puking up since Friday afternoon and then all day yesterday I felt really weak and slept a lot. Starting to feel a bit better today - managed to eat breakfast and lunch - go me!

Hopefully with an early night I will be back to normal tomorrow.

    Hi everyone :hello:
What a difference a sunny day makes, and it's a while since I can remember it being this sunny all day without a shower or anything. I've not been massively productive and am still below my target steps :o I had no idea I was such a lazy human being...

[STRIKE]:cheesy: sort out food for the week ahead[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:cheesy: aim for nsd[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:cheesy: try and finally get round to filling this hole in the door - I'm getting bothered by the slugs getting in now.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:cheesy: get ready for work tomorrow, and set my alarm[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:cheesy: get dd to dust the sitting room [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:cheesy: try and relax a bit somewhere and finish reading my book.[/STRIKE]
Sunderland well and truly lost at football again... I have done all the hoovering, washing and food prep for the short term, finished reading my book and finally got round to having a go at filling the hole in the door frame. When I finally got a good look at it, it was way too big for wood filler and off into the concrete etc. So I used foam filler. God knows how long it'll last but it was fairly quick and easy to do.
I also (drumroll please) washed the car :p I never, ever wash the car. I hate doing it. But it's done and clean for work.

Oh no La E hope you feel better soon. Couple of last bits, wrapped 2 things sold on fleabay that have been paid for, using recycled wrapping. 2 more sold, just waiting to be paid. Moved money straight to CC.

Pottered in kitchen earlier and ended up making red lentil and aubergine curry, chorizo and lentil soup and roast dinner (with 2 left over yorkies - now in freezer). Used up some veg on last legs too :T

    submitted meter readings online too.
