Ally sounds a lovely holiday. Swimming off a boat is fab isn't it. Although I have to say I watched Open Water after one diving break and felt a bit less pro it after that....
BB hope you feel better soon. It is a funny time of year I think. Today OH got too much sun just walking home from our morning out. He has felt pretty bad since then. Yet we are both sitting here with blankets on and it's cold now. It messes people's body up the constant switching of temperature." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Happy Sunday peoples
up early again with DD as she's still not quite 100%, although she's denying anything is wrong with her
We were planning on going to a local farm for Sunday lunch as a treat, but they didn't call me back yesterday and now DD not quite right we might just have day at home instead. My list:
New paint pape samples on wall to narrow down for paint samples - done
Move money from clothes piggy that I didn't do yesterday - done
Walk to post office and post fleabay item, package the rest that have bids on that will sell tonight - hmmm, get DH to do it tomorrow with some others selling tonight
Get cooked roast pork out of freezer to make roast dinner later. - defrosted, just off to do veggies
Look at free will letter we had through the post and work out if we can use it to make a joint will, look whe local solicitor taking part in scheme are. Thanks to someone on here who posted the link. Think it was Crazy Lady
Iron clothes for back to school - done, looks like we can both do it. This has been on my annoying things list for ages, just need to make appointment.
Make some soup for my lunches - see what I can find
Make packed lunch for DD for tomorrow - to do
Think that's about all, be back later PF:)0 -
Morning All
Having a coffee watching Everyone loves Raymond. Always makes me laugh.
It's been frosty over night here. Cars with ice on the windows and the garden grass looking spiky.
We are going to visit friends in another part of London today for brunch at theirs. Taking some of the lovely food things we bought yesterday as a gift.
Both OH and I have enough credit on our oyster cards so should be a NSD so long as we remember to take water and snacks with us.
Think someone who owes me some money may be sorting that today as had emails asking for my account details overnight.
We will be out till mid afternoon I'd guess so that's Sunday done for us.
Have a good one.

Morning all

Frosty here overnight as well Bobarella. Having said that, we had everything yesterday, heavy rain, a bit of sunshine, windy, and hail that fell so hard that it settled like snow  It is quiet and sunny (and cold) at the moment, but not sure what today will bring!
Well, I finished my stocktaking yesterday :T but didn't do much else. Shopping at Mr S & Lidl, DD came round, OH cooked supper and nothing else (apart from dog walks) really got done. I want to finish sorting out biz paperwork today, so not being too ambitious with today's list either:
Dog walks x 2
HM meals from stores, OH made enough shepherds pie last night to do today as well :T
Heating off - at the moment anyway!
Finish off (as far as possible) biz paperwork stuff for 2015/16 FY - very early I know, but once it is done I won't have to think about it any more till I need to get it to the accountant / do the tax return (I usually do this in May or whenever P60 etc available) - accountant isn't usually busy then, and I then don't need to think about it again for ages :T
Housework, hopefully (paperwork taking preference though!)
Any surveys, check FPL (don't know if the latter is a good use of my time though tbh )
Hope everyone has a good Sunday, liking the idea of some of the plans for the day

Morning all
Got up at half seven this morning - an hour earlier than I have been getting up but still an hour later than I need to get up tomorrow  Not sure how I'm feeling about going back to be honest but I know I'll be ok when I get there - always am
So, plans for today:
:cheesy: find a little PAD to make somewhere
:cheesy: Do a bit of housework (have my mam coming over tomorrow for a few hours and I don't want her to find any jobs to do)
:cheesy: tutoring
:cheesy: boys off to watch Sunderland lose at football
:cheesy: sort out food for the week ahead
:cheesy: aim for nsd
:cheesy: try and finally get round to filling this hole in the door - I'm getting bothered by the slugs getting in now.
:cheesy: get ready for work tomorrow, and set my alarm
:cheesy: get dd to dust the sitting room
:cheesy: try and relax a bit somewhere and finish reading my book.
Thankfully I don't feel poorly any more so that's a bonus. Have a good day everyone. We have a nice day today so no excuse for me not to get my 7000 steps. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Morning lovlies - I'm so long at not posting here, please do forgive me. I do my small things but the last three months at work have been mental.
Breathes slowly - working today but at home so that's easier. Sometimes I think this 'two job's' thing is harder than one bigger job.
Today I will
Wash some towels and bedding low heat, quick wash (not really dirty) and hang indoors
Do some indoor mowing (hoovering) to keep the home spirits up.
Do at least 1-2 hours PAID work
Help DS with thesis proofing
Do a 15 minute blast of tidying in the kitchen
Look trhough the fridge and make lunch for work (garden) tomorrow
Do same for himself.
Decant the chicken bones and meat out of stock in pot in fridge - make soup or freeze.
Check banks/cc's
Check DD has got uni money
Get bank stuff ready to take tomorrow for new account with 0% OD
Look out all my seeds and post up to a seed swap with other job.
Top up wood stove in kitchen with free wood.
Move pallets (free wood) from car to wood stack for chopping later
Check out where's cheap for petrol today and top up later
Go through J. artichokes and see which we'll plant/sell/eat
Post some plants to a friend up north
Fill in work expenses sheet
**Sparkle**
Hope all you lovlies have a great day.

Hi Sunday Savers,
Today's few bits of frugal activity:
*Have baked a tin of biscuits. All ingredients in stock.
*Washer loaded for overnight laundry on cheap tariff.
*Read energy meters & filled in spreadsheet. Nice big reduction in electricity useage from having turned heating off on April 1st.
*Watch 'Beechgrove'....they love garden money saving on there & are featuring budget garden projects this series.
*YS chicken to be roasted for dinner.
*Runner bean wigwammy row thing constructed using last year's canes & recycled string.
*Checked baby veggie plants - one aubergine looked like it might be planning a hissy fit but it seems to have rallied in the sunshine.
*Decided to compost my blueberrry bushes. I don't think I've had more than half a yoghurt pot of berries from them even on a good year. More cost-effective to use the large containers for salad crops or extra tomato plants.
*Two baths from one lot of hot water.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Set up facebook page for my handknitted items for sale. Trying this to keep low key & manageable. May try etsy or similar at a later date, possibly.
*Deal with ebay auctions as several are up today. 4 items definitely sold. Will relist while it's April free listings.
*More daffodils had flopped over so I cut them to bring indoors where they filled a vase.
*Mr mended water butt again.
*A stopper from greenhouse rainwater collection plumbing has gone missing, rendering it useless. Problem solved by inserting small empty plastic bottle. I do love a low-tech, zero spend solution.
*Made list of veggie garden jobs to prioritise this week.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend all,
