Sounds like a lovely half term you're planning there PF! If the weather isn't great we used go to the local cinema for a kids club showing, they were reduced tickets I think it was £7.50 for me and the two kids, we'd take our own snacks from home and found it a nice way to get out of the house if the weather wasn't up to much. Mine are too old for that now and I miss those cinema mornings sometimesSticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Thanks all for popping by. Annoying can’t log into the 1poll app. Will try again in a bit. Will look at others too.
Veg box turned up today, lovely stuff. Also got an amazing hard back cookery book which I will enjoy perusing over a brew shortly.
Looking forward to a week of slightly less routine. Alain contemplating digging out my knitting now I have some free time in the day, I work much better knitting in natural light rather than artificial.
No spare funds for OP until payday unless I sell some bits. Should look to list on fleabay.4 -
Good to hear PF. Have a great week and get out for a run when you can. I have been very lax on that score but doing lots of classes so not all lost

Still can’t log on to 1poll despite resetting my password. How annoying. Will try it on safari and see.Hanging on until pay day next week, am contemplating free trial on YN AB, tried before but fell back to faithful spreadsheet however with changes afoot I’d like to see some more analysis of categories to really focus on the money we have doing the best for us. One to ponder.Smalls half term. 2 cafe visits, 1 from spends and the other entirely in vouchers and 4 happy people both days 😃
on top of things in the house which is also good. Little time for a run even if I wanted to this week but still on my radar.2 -
I'm back on with a free trial of YNAB PF - it makes a massive difference to me and I'm definitely going to find the money to subscribe. It is quick and easy for me, and easy to keep on top of...Not giving up

Did some detective work yesterday when I could remember if I’d dreamt (and failed) at having a go a knitting some socks when the lovely foxgloves kindly shared her pattern with me. So I went back and found when it had been sent and then used e mail and a purchase history on an auction site to find I did indeed have needles and yarn. Worked logically as to where they might be 12 months later and I found them and so far so good..... well put it like this I’m further than the last effort that was frogged 😊 just need to work out how to keep the marker on the needle 🧐
I’ve spent some time setting up the trial for YN AB. So far so good apart from a transaction that hasn’t cleared when I set up my balances and therefore it now thinks I’ve spent money I don’t have. May just need to adjust opening balance on that one. Pay day next week so little chance to use between now and then (as little funds that aren’t allocated) but I’m interested to see how it works on payday when there is money to allocate.More eating from the freezer, yummy ys burgers last night. GF too, would definitely buy again if YS.Need to meal plan for next week but have a few meals on this week still to use up/carry over. Maybe small l1dl shop tomorrow or Saturday might be in order to get us to payday.DH has call from a provider about PP I yesterday. They said it would take up to 4 weeks to get an amount/answer from them. Considering we thought there wouldn’t be anything, any amount would be a bonus.Need to see about claiming tax back on my small payout and re read the guide on here.2 -
Yesterday was productive. I moved some furniture to another room to repurpose it and make better use of the space in both rooms. Sorted 4 boxes of stuff in to 2 to keep and put in another room. Need to give the carpet where the furniture was a good vacuum today.Caught up with some washing and put away the Christmas jumpers together ready for next year. 30 second job, not sure why I hadn’t done it before.Saw some friends we’ve not seen for ages and had a lovely afternoon catching up. Use up tea rounding up veg out of fridge which was yummy and satisfying.Need to deep clean utility this week and sort some more boxes of smalls stuff including packing away some of large smalls clothes for smaller small. This has saved us so much ££ over the years been organised and just been able to get a box of next sized clothes/shoes out of the loft. Will see about selling some of the smallest ones clothes too for space and OP opportunities! Will perhaps go in loft on Monday.Meal plan done for the next 10 days and shopping completed yesterday across 3 shops. Possibly small bit of fresh fruit/veg needed at the end of the week but I’ll see how long it can be stretched.Need to make some more kefir today. Will defrost culture I saved from my last batch. Will also make cake whilst I’m at it and possibly some biscuits too. Cake being donated to friend 😇
Just the way it’s worked out but all DD have gone out this month so bills account at zero for over a week until payday, which feels a bit odd but also pleasing 😉4 -
So smalls back to school in the pouring rain. Can’t wait for some let up so I can get out and spend some time in the garden. No chance of that this week I don’t think.Have to claim P P I tax back through SE, so that’ll be an incentive to get it done as soon as possible after April.Managed a free roast dinner yesterday with everything apart from veg coming from stuff I’d previously made and frozen. Freed up some space in freezer too and a couple of pots that I can fill at some point and put back.Feel like tonight’s tea should be warming and stew like, will look to see what’s on the planner and what I might be able to rustle up. Maybe a curry - HM of course.Need to make a couple of calls on things today before they turn in to frogs 🐸. Will do that next and then I think I’ll go between some knitting whilst watching TV and some cleaning and sorting in the utility. But first I’ll reconcile my just for points CC and check the bank.3
