Evening all :hello: busy old time in RL over here. Most of it good but a stressful situation rearing it’s head again, trying to work out how to balance with out upsetting people or me just getting stressed about it or both.
Build moving along nicely, makes such a difference when you can actually see stuff happening :rotfl:
Some decisions to be made in the next few weeks hoping we can fit some headspace in to think about it as school holidays seem to just lurch from one thing to another and people that some people commenting on how easy it must be when they’re on holiday!!
Did some meal planning today and shopped accordingly which is always good. Food spends in a totally separate account is working well.
2 items I’ve returned have credited. The other two are with the retailer, just need to keep an eye out for the money.
Today I paid off the last of our loan :j we have ‘borrowed’ the money from ourselves to pay back in a couple of months when a plan I’ve been paying in to matures. We’ve saved about £450 in interest by paying it back in half the time we took it over0 -
Hope the stressful situation gets sorted.
Great news on the build and well done on paying back the loan, great amount saved!

Awww, PF, hope the stressful situation doesn't turn out to be as bad as you're anticipating. Great on paying off the loan. Saving that amount of interest has to be a winner, doesn't it?

Unfortunately the stress is being caused by a family member so isn't likely to go away anytime soon. I had a strategy to deal with it last year and it was working well (this included keeping a distance from them) but a few months ago, I decided that I was perhaps being a bit harsh and should make an effort for the greater good. Only to realise this week why I'd developed the aforementioned strategy. Must extract myself from the situation again I think for the good of everyone.
The bit I can't square away is they are a fibber and I don't like it, I especially don't like they tell fibs about my children but others can't see it as they have no way of verifying or not the content iyswim  by extracting myself the fibs are likely to get larger (which happened previously) as I can't call them out on it as I'm not around.
They say you can't pick family and it's definitely true.0 -
Ugh. That’s not helpful. Yes agree you need to go back to the previous strategy...
Hope holidays are going well and build is materialising x0 -
Thanks for popping by Brizzle hope you've enjoyed the holiday. Project extraction has commenced
School holiday in full swing here, that and build has picked up again :T
We've picked a kitchen  well - assuming the price is right
Managed a long run today. 10 miles, although mile 8-9 was shocking  but felt much better for completing it.
Popped to SM and managed a few ys items, some will be made in to jampayday this week, it's flown this month!

Jam making is on round 2, as round 1 didn't reset so after some good old g00gle search advice I've just rebooted it, nothing to loose at this stage :rotfl: kitchen smells yummy
Managed to get a ton of washing done yesterday and all dried outside, which is always jolly
Have some OOD sour cream so just going to try and make a quick cake before work if I can to use it up, plus I need to rustle up some lunch. Will triage the fridge whilst I'm there and see if anything needs freezing.
Only a handful of days until payday but we shouldn't need to spend anything, so we'll get over the line which I'm pleased about given it's school holidays and we've had a busy old month with birthdays and other gatherings :T
Need to contact n£txt who have said I've returned something I bought in the sale, they haven't even delivered. Hmm.
Still keeping an eye out for my last refund too, mustn't forget that. Purps.0 -
A few lemon pipa tied up in a bit of muslin can help with a jam reboot, Purps. You probably know that. I made rhubarb & ginger the other day, & despite the recipe including the zest & juice of 3 lemons, I still put a few pips in my muslin bag of ginger to help it on its way.
I love preserving season. Still using my old Nana's jam pan & funnel.
