So half term is over and back to it tomorrow for school/work and various clubs. However, we have much to look forward too.

Weve booked a few days away in the summer, bought out of our holiday piggy :T which is good to look forward too.

The build is moving forward well and it's lovely to see progress and we're busy making plans and doing lots of research on things. Aiming to do what we need to as frugally as possibly without compromising on some quality as we certainly don't want to do anything twice. I'll also be selling a few bits of the house on the way, old garage door has already netted £100 and I have a few other doors/windows that will be sold in due course. This will all go back to the house fund.

Cashed out £10 something from pr0lific this week so this has gone to the 1p fund, sitting at a healthy 75% of annual target achieved. Need to keep an eye out for more surveys as I've not had too many recently.

We have food in so need to double check meal plan for the week ahead (and think about lunches for school too)

Managed a most enjoyable run on Friday morning and hoping for another today. Must try and get out in the morning when I can rather than putting it in the 'too difficult box' as I really want to get back to running 3 times a week rather than 1.

Raspberries are growing well in the garden, will need to stake them soon and one of my blueberry bushes has loads of flowers on that I have managed to net before the local (fat) pigeon got his pesky beak on them. Other bush is looking frail  may just leave and heavily prune at end of season and hope for better next year.

Have a good day everyone. Purps.

Hope you're having a good weekend. Short run yesterday, may go out again today (in-between showers :( ) Glad your Friday run was good :)

Hope next week isn't too bad xx

Well the garden will certainly enjoy the rain today and save me a job ;)

I'm planning a quiet weekend as I'm shattered. But still have house stuff to do. We need to go look at bathrooms at some point just to measure up and for ideas. We've paid for the first stage of the build  although not as much as we had budgeted so a positive there.

DH has varnished the wood we had done upstairs a few weeks ago so that's ready for carpet, but we're going to leave it until the build is finished I think to save it getting dusty/dirty.

I need to juggle the main budget as DH hasn't been getting as many hours recently so I want to be more realistic and then can overpay when he does more.

Working out how much we want to invest for something in the medium term so need to factor that in too.

    Happy Saturday all :D

Another day of rain here. Plus it's really dark, not helpful on keeping electric bills down :rotfl:

Some good research on bathrooms this weekend, just need to think about what it will 'look like' as well of what goes where. Going for minimal look which helps :rotfl:

Started day 1 of training for a half marathon yesterday  did make me go out in the rain which I probably wouldn't have done normally after a long day at work on a Monday. Hopefully it'll focus my mind on 3 runs a week ;)

Bank account looking a bit bleak (doesn't it always apart from payday ;)) but we're waiting on some expenses from DH work which he used the current account rather than the cc and all the bills are paid and payday is less than 2 weeks away. We have food though and I've cancelled our veg box for now as I think I can get better value by making an effort to go to the market. Must think about when I can do that each week.

Have the standard OP going to mortgage next week and signing up to 3 years savings plan, with the view that will get OP when it matures in 2022.

Morning diary land. Another week passes by and we hurtle towards the end of another school year for small people.

Managed 4 runs last week which I'm well chuffed with. First time in ages :T plus I'm one in the bag for this week too :A

Build going well. They're starting on the second floor today:D it's great seeing it take shape. Went to the Swedish emporium on Sunday. Didn't buy anything :A but we got some more ideas also things we don't want :rotfl:

Limping through until payday on Friday, and by some small miracle of juggling we are going to end up ok. Surprising how these things work out when you monitor it and are focused rather than running away with you. Don't know why I'm surprised as it's just common sense but even so.

DH did a small shop of essentials yesterday which will keep us going until post pay day. Happy days.
