Wow is all
The countdown begins :j :j
Thanks Beanie
The countdown begins indeed. I have already worked out that I have 141 academic teaching weeks to work. (based on a further education year of 33 weeks):rotfl: weeks when I am not teaching are usually staff training or moderation weeks so I am not counting those. It's the teaching weeks that age me:eek:"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

No idea what I have done to the settings on the forum but my text has gone massive!! Must have used a combination of keys? Annoying as I have to scroll lots just to see a few posts when reading diaries. If anyone knows what I have done please tell me how to put it back again
Mr Light made a further win on the free bingo making his total for the month to £90. He is also considering going through his vinyl collection as there are some that he can happily say goodbye to.
We had a discussion about the amount of stuff that we have in the house and have agreed that one way to speed up our FIRE pot is to sell/donate/throw away anything that we feel is surplus to requirements.
The house also needs some jobs doing as some parts are downright embarrassing. We are going to take a room by room approach and see if we can update them either free or for under a nominal amount. I reckon the biggest cost will be our bedroom which hasn't been decorated since we move in the house 13 years ago! It still has the previous owner's carpet in.
The bathroom is particularly shabby also but I love my old deep cast iron bath and the sink is huge and solid enamel which might look a bit dated but is very functional. It does need some new flooring and tiling though as we have quite a few cracked they look awful.
I think the one room at a time approach is the way to go, think I will start with the front porch as that is the smallest and should do with a good scrub and a coat of paint. Wonder what leftovers we have.............."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0
