Good morning ppl! Today is a spending day: I run out of veggies and bread, so I'll have to do a quick trip to the supermarket after work. The good thing is that they usually reduce the veggies in the evening, so i should manage with only £3 :j
2/15 NSD
The cheese was hard to grate as its been 'aging' in the fridge of some time now.
tip for you from an Italian: instead of grating the cheese when hard and aged, cut it in cubes and put it in a food processor/blender. Then, just put the "grated" cheese in a food container and store it in the freezer for up to one month (or more, I never tried for longer). I'm actually so lazy that I do it even with almost new Parmesan and this saves me from buying the one already grated (expensive and flavourless most of the time)
Hi everyone I'd like to join this challenge please :j I already keep track of my NSD's in my signature but like the thought of being stricter with myself with the help of this thread.
I'd like to go for at least20 NSD's this month as I'm quite time rich and cash poor at the moment I'm onto my 6th NSD already so hoping to smash 20 NSD's.
Hope everyone is having a good day
PS meant to say, my month runs from 31st March to 28th April.
As of 5/4/16 : *Grocery Challenge31st March - 27th April £53.36 NSD's 6/28 *RAGI2016: #34 £43.64/500
Yasmin - I see the dreaded "glossy mag" has struck again.....they look so inviting on the front cover, but when you start to read them, and turn over countless pages of adverts, you get the feeling that someone has shoved a whacking great pie in your face.....and charged you for the privilege! Well done on your 5 NSDs, anyway!
Aliliva - well done on your first NSD, and meal planning is definitely the key! You can indeed get some bargains when shops reduce the price of their fruit and veg. Thanks for the tip re grating Parmesan, no longer will I serve pasta with a helping of grated knuckle.
Debtfreedolly - animals are expensive, but you wouldn't be without them. Fingers crossed for your first NSD!
MrsC..tobe - come on board! Your target of 14 is noted!
Mozzakate - welcome! You have 6 NSDs already, impressive!
If your NSD month does not quite fit the calendar month I am not too fussed, it all works out over the year. As we say, your challenge, your rules.
Rosa21 welcome and well done for your two NSDs!
Milasavesmoney - 2 NSDs, most welcome! And well done for taking fridge leftovers and turning them into a gourmet meal.
NSD no 4
Work then home. Been up in the lift doing some sorting out.
Really...? Methinks you meant "loft"
I suspect you were typing on a hand-held gadget. I have an IPad and a Kindle, and they both are inhabited by a gang of malevolent pixies that change my words as I type them.

You have saved my fingers! :j:j Thank you for this great tip!

Well done for being on number 4!
Yes you are correct. I am typing on my iPhone and those malevolent pixies seem to change words all the time.

Worked from home today. Then dyed my hair. Only used 1/2 of the mixture. So it cost me around £3 instead of the £30+ it would cost me at the hairdresser.
