Aliliva - hang in there. It is still only the 4th, we have 26 more days yet! Planning ahead, as Gemgem does, and finding things to do that don't involve going near shops helps.
Please, tell me your secrets! I'm still stuck at 0 NSD and this weekend I managed to spend sth like £100!
Unsocial hours at work.. food from home and working through a box of deluxe toiletries as a treat lol..:)
What did you spend the £100 on? Was it necessary? That's what I ask now before I spend any money - is it necessary and then when I answer no, I don't spend. Having said that I did have a splurge a few days ago with a bottle of wine/nice pizza and a glossy shiny mag lol.. It was about £15.. but I have acknowledged that I do need to treat myself every so often but small treats maybe once a week lol..
Am declaring another NSD today.. Staying at home until 2pm and then to work until early hours. Has to be a NSD anyway as only £15 to last me until payday on 11th :eek: So that's:
Thank you all guys Probably I should plan better my meals, as I end up basically every day in the supermarket to buy the odd thing. On the other end, I always get my lunchbox at work and atm I have everything at home, so today I should be safe:j
PS: just a bit of an explanation of my completely out of scale weekend!
I am relocating soon (still waiting for the date, but it might be any-time this week), so I actually had two evenings/early mornings out with colleagues and friends to say goodbye, plus an old friend of mine visited on Sunday and I took her around London. Basically, I'm aware I've overspent, but it was worth it :A
This is so HARD!!! Yesterday we had the second vet trip of the week £50+ for boosters and wormer for one of the pups and today I am seeing a friend I haven't seen in an age at the pub so I am STILL on 0 days Very, very good for making me aware of my spending though...
How lovely to see a shiny new thread, and well done to Nargle for taking on the task.
I'm back again this month, a few days late because of a very busy weekend but I'm here all the same. Unfortunately I can't declare and NSD so far BUT I am going to set myself a target of 14 this month I think. This takes into account the number of days left of the month after me joining.
I will be on holiday for a week and have Euros left from last year but I won't be promising not having any spends over and above those so setting my sights a bit lower for April.
Will hopefully be popping in and out regularly.
No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£3000
I made a saut!ed mushroom, onion and garlic sauce to eat over rice pasta with Parma sprinkled on. The cheese was hard to grate as its been 'aging' in the fridge of some time now.
Garlic bread and tossed green salad round out the menu. These are all things I had on hand.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Good morning NSD gang! Will be full of busy this morning but will sit down this afternoon and update the scores! Don't you just love it when you have a couple of days off between shifts, and all of a sudden every job you can imagine gets crammed into those two days? See you all later.

Secret - careful planning, allocating money at the beginning of the month and not going near the shops.
