How about catch-up TV? Does that work through broadband? If so, I imagine I could get programmes from channels like ITVBe via the ITV player?
You won't get Catch Up TV from a cancelled Sky TV box.

You will get Catch Up (and recording) from a Freesat PVR, however, if you connect it to the internet.

You presumably will get a Youview box from BT TV so you can go back over the last 7 days via the programme guide, when you select a programme it plays it, so no problem if you missed it 'live' , there is also regular access to the main catch up services like bbc I player and itv hub

There are over 12,000 items of catch up TV on YouView, no matter how you purchase one. And there all free. :)

So would I be able to watch programmes from a channel like ITVBe,on-demand even if my aerial doesn't pick up this channel on freeview?

Also, should I order this with BT first or cancel Sky first?

You probably need to deal with Sky TV separate to your phone and broadband service, if it were me I would,
Speak to BT about migrating your phone and broadband from Sky to BT (you shouldn't need to speak to Sky about phone/broadband, BT arrange it) advising them that you also want BT TV , when you have a date for the phone/broadband changeover contact a Sky about cancelling your TV service (if you don't want a gap in the pay TV service), if you don't care about being without a pay TV service for a while call Sky and cancel the TV whenever you like ( I think you have to give 30 days notice anyway)

I think you can watch ITV Be as a stream from the ITV hub (if you cannot receive the channel via freeview ) , if you are thinking of unlimited broadband, it shouldn't be a problem, if you are thinking of a limited broadband deal (say 40Gb/month) best to check if viewing on line eats up this allowance

The short answer is yes, as the ITV Hub (the ITV catch up player) shows a range of content from all of its channels on all devices. But you must have a fully working aerial (and BB connection) to get YouView. At least BBC1 & 2, ITV and CH's 4 & 5.

I'll definitely go with unlimited broadband. Thanks for the info, I think I'll be ordering tomorrow. Sky will have to make me a very good offer to stay as I'm dropping from almost £100 p/m to £46 p/m!

Have you tried your aerial in your tv?
The Freeview checker tells me I cannot receive any channels but I get them all including HD,I now use the http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/coveragechecker/ which shows 99 channels available.
Before you order check topcashback as current offer is £160+ for BT Broadband, calls and TV.
