Hello, has anyone volunteered for May yet? I could tryDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

My sincere apologies fellow turtles. Although not posting as much as I’d like, I’ve been working hard to continue on doing hard work.
Love the look of the new challenge, should hopefully help give me plenty of new and inventive ideas to save, save, save! As someone who occaisionally peaks in at “What small DFW things did you do today” thread, I’m feeling confident.
My 3 frogs for the next 7 days;
1 – Open a Help To Buy Account
2 – Hoover inside of car
3 – Go to the library and pick up the Kon Marie book
Good luck one and all!0 -

Sorry quick post today.
Still feeling meh, DH is dragging his heels about the car and I just want it sorted, I'm so tired of walking everywhere all the time, I'm doing 7 miles a day and my kids do at least 4-5 on school and nursery runs, and I do two physical jobs. I'm completely exhausted and I'm also having trouble with my left heel and it's so so painful at times and I'm sure it's down to the walking.
Anyway, I mustn't moan cos there are others worse off than me anyway I think I'm doing my bit to be frugal, no car and vegan for a start lol next week though I will sort my DDs room out cos that is one big massive frog![STRIKE]497.00[/STRIKE][STRIKE] 286.34[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]182.00[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]180.00[/STRIKE][STRIKE] 130.00[/STRIKE] CC1 Paid!!:j

Today's frugal realisation is this: I am making some Robin doorstoppers for dd's teachers for the end of the year, all with fabric I already have (although I did get the tweedy fabric for the body using credit I had with the Sally Army). Then came the stuffing bit, which I realised would require rather a lot. So I dug out my pillowcase inners filled with scraps of fabric, wool, and thread that have been accumulating over the last few months until I decided what to do with them. Perfect stuffing! And 500g of rice from the cupboard to weigh it down. Smug face is on!
The car went in for its MOT and was returned to us within 2 hours! All clear. Phew.
Dinner tonight is hm fish and chips. We have basa so that will take any sauce I like, and dh will make the chips. Might even sneak some veggies in there too...
Not an NSD, but I did do a workout, and have been doing them regularly for over 4 weeks now - am feeling so much better and I am sure it has helped me cope with the things thrown at me this week.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Thrifty I know. Got to make the most of it before the teenage years
my son is pretty skin flinty like me so I don't worry too much. He came in the other morning and started on about Lelli Kelly (sp?) Shoes and how ridiculous they are at that price! Love it
I believe that the lovely CCL is our May host unless she says otherwise? Maybe you could do June? Can you believe we are talking about June for heavens sake doesn't feel real some how.
Calling that is an amazing achievement. Well done you!!
Hugs to everyone who would like one.

Did part of tomorrow's food shop tonight, so no SFD here. Did take more MSE option of buying the teens pizzas from a!di rather than the preferred D0min0s though
Today's frugal things: got given more hotel soaps which I'll use to make more laundry liquid. Used up last of hotel shampoo and conditioners (made my bought stuff stretch about another 2.5 weeks) Bought Ald! cheap bubble bath to refill handwash dispenser in boys' bathroom (cheaper than a new handwash and fills it almost 3x)
