Theres a FB page called feed your family for £20 a week
I go on that FB page and there is another one you might find interesting called "Feed Yourself for £1 a Day".

With regards to my grocery challenge, I've decided to not include alcohol. It's not something I overindulge in (usually), but I do like the odd treat, and it makes a difference to what is already a tight budget. I do include takeaways (not that I buy them) and any food drink included while out and about.

Sigh. £2.63. Went to SM to get prescriptions and was utterly unable to walk by YS windfall. I think I'll have to stay home for the rest of the month.

    In freezer:
3 x packs casserole veg, ready prepped and good to go
    garlic baguette
    potato scones
    2 x 6 teacakes

    in fridge
    cous cous salad (tomorrows lunch)
caramelised onion hummus (going on crispbreads in a minute!)
    2021 GC £1365.71/ £2400

You do so amazing. At the end of the day it's all about saving and getting bargains is all par the cause, even if it throws the budget out slightly, it's savings in the long run.

Needed to stock up on dishwasher tablets which were £7.99 in bm's. A big chunk out of my weekly budget but will last me 2 months. A lot cheaper than buying the same washing tablets in tossco who charge a whopping £11.00!!

Smart smart shopping on something you need. It really does add up!

$16.50 for a lovely breakfast out with my sweet OH. Love that man!!
    $331.50/$450
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Did a top up shop £10.40 for fruits, yogurts, sandwich fillings, lettuce, and broccoli. I couldn't carry the carrots or potatoes that I need. I will get hubby to get them another day. I'm too close to the SM to get a bus or taxi, but is a long-ish walk when you have heavy bags to carry!!

Morning all. NSD yesterday. Sort of. I put in a large MF order, but it won't be charged until the day before delivery - which I set to 8th May. I had to get the order in to take advantage of the £55 discount offer:D

Thanks for the info re. discount codes. As always, you can only use the one at a time. Although, if I separate off the non 'pack' bits of the order, I wouldn't need to add much to get the free delivery. Will have to think about that.

I was thinking about either doing the 2nd purse, or going to an annual budget, as I do a lot of bulk buying and it throws off my monthly budget. I'm not sure how I'd work the 2nd purse for online purchases though? Does anyone have any ideas?

Have a great day everyone. Mine won't be a no spend as we have run out of mustard:eek: and I have a few more items to pick up to save extra trips later in the week. Theoretically:cool:

Blast going swimming today, I park in Asda carpark, and forgot I need cream cheese, will have a mooch in Y.S.and only buy if really good deal.
Nothing really good so got away with 74p for cheese. Need petrol before the weekend as visiting family in West Mids, need a good half a tank for journey.
Do I need it or just want it.
