  • £44 asgard shop. I think we could have done less but we have a 3 year who at times has very particular demands like potato waffles. However their coeliac items are a lot cheaper! I am hoping the green shop orders will be a great step forward!

Does anyone know if you can prepay for their delivery charges like i know you can with other places aka £6 a month and all deliveries free? £3 delivery stang a bit.

    Hi mummyroysof3.

It's far to early to say you'll fail! I always spend more the first week of the month, but I bet now you've got stuff in that'll last more than just this week?

    170 out of 500 leaves you £330.

Assuming you're running for a calendar month, and assuming your £170 is most of what you need this week, you've still got £110 a week to stay in budget.

    You'll do fine!
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

2 x no spend days but I am longing to go shopping! This is an awful addiction.

My cupboards are stuffed with everything I could possibly need for at least a month!! Yet I want to spend "just a pound" on flour and a bag of spuds. I have a bad, bad shopping habit :/

Don't worry we have all been there honey. If you only want to spend a small amount only take less than a fiver out when you go to buy a top-up shop You can't spend 'what you ain't got ' I only ever use cash when I go shopping as I did years ago in 1962 when I first got married .I keep a set amount in my 'food 'purse and once its gone thats it until the 1st of the next month. On my shopping list at the moment is tomatoes,I did have loo rolls on there but DD nipped across to the shops yesterday when she came for coffee and a natter and had noticed that I was getting low and bought some and refused to take any cash for them Bless her.
I have three tomatoes in my fridge at the moment so will wait until I am completely out of them before I go to the shops I am lucky that my shops are less that five minutes walk away so its not a problem. So today is my third NSD this month I am way for a week this month so I am running down as much stuff as I can, using up the fresh stuff first. I have several meal out this month at my Dds and other things so I only have seven dinners to sort out before I go away.Plenty of bits in the freezer and lots of tinned stuff so I will not have a great shop to do this month at all.

Shopping, like any other addiction is practice, practice practice and you will learn to control your habit We are all here to help and do it one day at a time Try substituting stuff if you can with something else instead of going to the shops.I used to turn right instead of left outside my house when I felt the urge to shop and went to the library or park for a walk instead of the shops :):):) every little helps you know :):):)

    Morning all
Have had first small spend of £4.48 on mushrooms dog food and bread which hopefully should mean no more needed for a couple of days.
Menu planned and inventory done (apart from the scary bits at the back of the freezer). Going to use today to prep some meals for this week and make some celeriac soup as it is so cold.
Usually budget for meals out separately as rare occasion and take my own snacks out.
