  • Test and Vote is a site where you complete surveys and then chase them for your points that you may or may not receive which you can then redeem against competitions or vouchers which you may or may not receive after 6 weeks chasing.

Sorry for the pessamism but it comes from over 2 years experience of chasing T&V.

Recommended only for the die hard money saver.

noticed recently that they give 100 points for each survey when you don't get to complete it fully. that didn't happen before.

Still not got my last set of vouchers, do not recommend them and will quit as soon as they pay me. Number of times I gone well into a survey having answered more than just demographic questions only to be told sorry you are not in the group is beyond a joke.
  • how many points do you have to have to convert them into ipoints? I'm wondering if this is the better option for us as we have been waiting weeks for my OH's HMV voucher and I'm coming up to having enough points to order another one from my account.

I've been waiting since 05/07 for £12 HMV voucher - I am have an email relationship over it with 'Joe' who keeps promising me I will have them with 3/4 days - then within hours I get a 'sorry we are having a delay' email.

    Today I got this email:

    Dear member,

I am very sorry about the current issue with the HMV vouchers and there extended delay. I am writing to inform you, that today, I credited your account with a bonus of 1000 points to apologise for the extensive delay and that I hope you will continue to enjoy our service here at Test&Vote. Please accept our apologies and I can assure you we are doing everything in our power to get these vouchers to you as soon as we possibly can.

    Regards

    The Test&Vote Team

I am waiting til I get my voucher - then closing my account with them - so 1000points is not gonna do me any good.

    A complete waste of time!

edited to say: 1000 points = 20p!!! Gee they sure are sorry!!

I chose HMV 'cos my dad wanted the box set of Jeeves and Wooster which was reduced to £24 until acouple of weeks ago. Now its full price again - so I've lost out there too.

I'm going to keep going to get enough points to get vouchers/i-points but then I'm quitting.

I love how they give points out in the thousands: seemed generous until I worked out how little they're worth.

I've just sent them the following email - will let y'all know if I get a response!

    Dear Test and Vote Team,

Thank you for your pointless addition of 1000 points. As I am sure you are aware - 1000 points is equivalent to 20p when exchanging for HMV vouchers.

The delay on receiving my vouchers is now over twice the delivery time stated on the website.

As a consumer I do not understand how you can possibly have such a delay in sending vouchers. If I ordered a HMV voucher direct from HMV I would have it with 3 days. If I needed it quicker I would go to a store.

Surely it is important to you to retain the 'good' name of your company - so why is it you have not undertaken any of these methods to rectify the problem.

May I direct you to www.moneysavingexpert.com where many people are advising others to stay away from your site due to the gross inefficiency experienced time and time again.

    Regards

    Sarah

  • I too have been with them for quite a while and am thinking of stopping once i reach 80,000. Currently on 78000.

The rewards dont really seem that great, whats the best way to cash them in?

50000 points gets you 1500 ipoints but when i looked at the ipoints site you cant really get much for that amount, it costs 2590 ipoints just for a mascara!?!?

Is anyone else having problems with their website in general recently? things won't load up, and when you go to the home page it kind of scrolls across the page...if that makes sense..but it stops haflway across the page!
