I live a couple of miles (if that) away from their main depot. If I started spotting them properly I'd never get anything else done :)

Norberts, or to give them the truckers name, Nobbie Disentangled, were sold out to XPO an American firm last year.

My 6 year old calls Eddie Stobarts "Eddie Snobots". I think I like it better :rotfl:

I like 'Prestons of Potto' - it has a nice ring to it. :D

My hubby has to slow down when we're overtaking one so I can read the name (so long as we don't have a BMW on our ar$3). :D

LOL, we pay a similar version called yellow car bash.

Have to shout out 'yellow car bash' everytime you see a yellow car and each person keeps a tally on our journey. We've since added pink car bash to our game, with a bonus of 5 points to spice up the already competitive game.

Sometimes we are forbidden from playing the game when DH is in the car.

I've seen Phoebe Grace quite a few times, but I've got more chance of seeing the driver than the name on the truck these days.

I still shout it out MSE Andrea, I have no kids & I just don't care as I want people to feel the sheer joy of it all.

I spotted an Eddie Stobart driver lobbing his litter out of his window on the M6. He probably regretted the fact the name of his lorry was so memorable when I phoned them up to complain.

I've just seen 2 change lane without indicating yet again... at least they didn't try driving us off the road today.. I feel very blessed!!

My middle son developed an addiction to Eddie Stobart when he was about 2-3 years old, so we all became defacto Eddie spotters - every car journey for years would ring with cries of 'Eddiiieee!' whenever one was spotted. By the time he was 5-6 he had all the Steady Eddie toys, videos and books (and quite a few Stobart ones too), bedding, a t-shirt that was worn until it physically wouldn't fit on him, bike helmet, breakfast set .... it's actually amazing what merchandise there is between their own shop and when you start hunting eBay *lol* When he was a bit older he even got a tour of the nearby depot and a ride around the site on one of the tractor units (used to be a perk of being a fanclub member, don't know if it still is). Even now he's 12, while he doesn't have Eddie everything any more, he still waves when he sees one of the lorries and gets his phone out to take a picture.
