Does anyone else play the Eddie Stobart game with their kids?

What?

When we're out and about I get my kids to count as many Eddie Stobart lorries as possible through the day. I thought it might be fun to do on here too :)

If you're going to be travelling with the kids over the holidays, locally or further afield in the UK, get them to count and post your total on here.

It's just for fun so either post your daily total spotted in one day or, if you're away for most of the holiday, post how many you spotted through the hols at the end (you might have a training/inset day tacked on the end like my school).

What does an Eddie Stobart lorry look like?

In case you're totally new to Eddie Stobart spotting we've included a picture above.

It's not just a case of spotting the lorries, it's more about finding out the names that have been given to them - followed by a discussion between the adults about why the names just don't gel together (which is usually the case, IME).

    Really

I'm in Newport and see loads of them! I think they even have a depot around here.

As for Andrea's question. Wifey has watched the whole series of Eddie Stobart trucks and trailers on Channel 5 and is a fan of 1 of the drivers. In my car any Stobart spotting is strictly prohibited because i got fed up of hearing "i wonder if that's Mark driving" anytime we passed a Stobart on the motorway.

With older kids - you can introduce bonus scores for variations in livery; or a Stobart Truck but someone else's trailer. Or the ultimate challenge - spotting the Truck that matches your name. (There is one in the fleet that matches m'wife in both names and spellings but we've not spotted her on the road.)
I need to think of something new here...

All the time, love it. Our version: one point for a regular Eddie; two for a double Eddie;five for a white Eddie. Minus a point if you so much as say Ed..... and the lorry isn't an Eddie.

We do it all the time, loads of them on the M6.

Don't know how many there will be in North Wales next week though :)

    Keep a tally.

Eddie Stobart, Norbert Dentressangle and Christian Salvesen.
