Logging NSF number 1 for May :D happy happy.

Had some money become available in PayPal - moved it over, minus the p&p costs, to house fund. Can't update my sig on my phone (Internet has gone in the house at the moment! Typical!) so will do that later.

Still feel like death, and having a rest day, but walked to the polling station with my mum in the sun to vote. Didn't really have much info to go on but think it's better to exercise the right to vote than not!

Not had much luck on the eb@y front this week, have a pile of stuff to get on there though so if I get chance will try and do that tonight.

did manage to get some success on sw@gbucks today (took a sweet while though!) so should be another week or so to get another voucher.

Not sure if I wrote it on here but I cancelled my Spotify membership. I do use it a lot but I've been using a Tiesto app to run with, and listen to podcasts, so it's a £9.99 saving for now.

Hope you feel better soon CB, there a nice weekend coming :T

Brilliant with the £9.99 pm month saving. I always work monthly money saved to a yearly saving and think to myself, that's 20% of a holiday somewhere or whatever! :D
Debt Apr 15 - £6895.44 :( Apr 17 - £2500 :) Dec 17 - £560 :) July 18 - £199 :D
CHEFS challenge (Cruise Holiday Entirely Funded by Surveys) - £685.79
Every penny is a prisoner :D

Hi Ena, thanks for dropping by! I think I've turned a corner thanks - last night I took a night nurse with some vodka (winning combo for me when I can't sleep ;)) and woke up convinced it was Saturday. Was just about to go back to sleep when I realised no it's Friday!!!!!!:rotfl:I think it did me good although I was stiff as a log when I got up.

Yeah that's a great way of looking at saving! My bf has a thing for costa lattes and cookies in the morning before work ( basically a fiver a go). When I told him look, that's a fiver a day, £25 a week, £100 a month etc......he said yeah, I should probably stop that!! Thinking about things in that way can be quite scary. I don't even need Spotify premium, the free works just as well :A

Today is all set to be a NSD :D As long as I don't drop by the shop for a bottle of wine on the way home hahaha.

Finally had some luck with sw@gbucks, so hopefully I can get enough for another voucher over the weekend. Who knows it seems to be so temperamental at the moment!!!

Happy Saturday :D

I think my cold is finally on it's way out, although I still don't feel 100%. Add to that my stomach has been awful since yesterday - I have IBS, but this is beyond my normal IBS symptoms. Hmm. Maybe it's all the cold medication catching up with me!

Since getting up I haven't done that much. Listening to some podcasts and added an item to eb@y. I did some sw@gs surveys as well and am inching closer to another £5 voucher.

My number came for the half marathon :D All feels very real now I have that. Especially as I've not been able to train this week, and I'm hesitant about tomorrow's long run as if I do I know it will be horrendous, not only with my cold but also the humidity and pressure in the air make running difficult. Pfft I need to suck it up!!

I'm off out for a Chinese meal with the bf's family tonight, need to take it easy on the drinking which is not easy to do when they all like a drink! Maybe it's the Irish blood ;) His mum is very encouraging to get everyone else drunk once she is haha.

Need to get off my bum and do a few bits today, although am taking it fairly easy. Just watching my cats sunbathe. Often wish I could be a cat!

I'm looking at this beautiful shirt from Topshop on eb@y...It's white with a blue chinese-y style pattern on it, which I am a sucker for. I wear shirts often as dinner/drinks attire as I think they look classy and put together. I still have some money left over from Xmas, so I think I could stretch to it.

I hope anyone that is reading is having a lovely weekend!

Oooo I've had a spendy couple of days...

Yesterday I bought the shirt off off eb@y, and also some running shorts. These are sorely needed in this weather! I only have longer trousers atm. That came to £26.93, but as I had £25 leftover from my christmas money I only spent £1.93 from my money.

I've booked an airbnb for the night before our marathon, as I was worried about traffic getting there (it's about an hour away from us). So that was £34 to be split between bf and I.

Also spent £30 on suncream for holiday, but that has come out of my holiday fund.

Went to the pub and chinese with bf's family, had such a lovely night. As my owed me money for the air bnb and suncream, he paid for my part of the meal £25. I also paid for the uber home, but then his dad gave us some money for it.

Today was supposed to be a NSD, but my mum is really ill and is having trouble with her joints, so I had to pop out to the shop for her. Ended up buying myself a meal deal (naughty!). So that was £3 spend for me (she will give me the money back for the rest).

Today is meant to be my long run, which will be the first run in a week due to my cold....still don't feel 100% AND don't fancy running in this heat, but I'm gonna wait until this evening and see if it's cooled down enough for it. Need to 8 miles  if not I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

What a gorgeous day though! Spent the morning in bf's parent's garden, so lovely. Such a change from 2 weeks ago!

I feel like today has been a bit of a fail....
As mentioned, my stomach has been awful, and it still was before my run. I thought, oh whatever, it will get better. Even when I set out my legs didn't feel good (when I'm ill my legs feel weak) but I ignored it and carried on. Halfway through my run I had a mini-breakdown and had to walk from there. I was crying and walking!! Managed to walk/run 7 miles in 1 hour 26 minutes. Still can't break the 7 mile mark.
I spoke to my bf about it, and he was like look, you were ill, you've missed two runs, and today was an exceptionally hot day to be running anyway (here it hit 27 degrees). I know this, but why do I still feel like such a failure? :(

I feel like I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself again - I seem to do this every 3 or so months, I focus on too many things at once, I stop sleeping and then I get ill (which I was this week!) and then I realise it's too much and I readjust.
I'm training for the half marathon, I'm trying to sell stuff and make more money to save, got a full time job, and I'm trying to be miss perfect in terms of my weight and looks and be a good gf etc and I think it's just too many balls for me. I'm not sleeping as mentioned (my sleeping is very erratic anyway and it is the first thing affected whenever my life is out of balance), I'm not reading which is majorly out of character for me, and I just feel !!!!. My stomach is also very sensitive and any stress (self-induced or otherwise) sets me off.

Note to myself: You are only one person with a finite amount of resources, so just try your best and don't beat yourself up so much when things aren't going quite as quickly as you think they should. Be kinder to yourself.

Ok that's my pep talk done. I sold a pair of shoes on eb@y that I put up today - they went so quickly I wonder if I could've got more for them! :rotfl:

But that's it I'm going to get ready for bed - and read!!! I've got Watership Down on the go, it is very sad but I love imagining the little bunny rabbits with their snuffling noses while reading.

Good night internet!

Well I feel a little bit better after my shaky day yesterday....

Work was fine, managed to get some sw@gs so claimedd a £5 @mazon voucher and also did my first prolific academy survey, netted £1.50. Packaged and sent off my eb@y sale as well.

Was meant to be a NSD (don't count my postage) but I had to put in £20 for my boss' present. It's her 60th and she always gets us nice presents so I can't begrudge it.

Did Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Level 1 which is the first I've done in a month or so (since training for the half properly). Felt good, really needed that today.

Gonna read some more and hope to get an early night tonight. Feeling positive :)

I have a few of her workouts....6 week abs.....killer buns and thighs and 30DS. I love them all, although my faves are definitely the shred and killer buns and thighs. That one is AMAZING for the legs. I love how she arranges her workouts though, you feel like you're dying and then move onto another exercise and forget about it :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh is it? I wonder if I'd have the patience to wait that long lol!
