Thanks Ena, I think I definitely need a break from it, I always get quite intense about things like that and then I burn myself out a bit
I'm glad to have started it though as it feels so good slowly getting rid of stuff that's just taking up room in cupboards/wardrobes etc. I have looked at Schp0ck, not tried it though, might have another look. Gumtr33 I'm not sure I have anything "interesting" enough for there, I always associate it with bigger items? If there's no fees however that is very tempting! I still get annoyed that eb@y take their fee off the postage charge, and then if you put a higher postage charge on the item to cover that people think you're charging unfair postage! It's a catch 22 and us as sellers end up losing out
Wow where did that rant come from haha.
The spa, well, it's all a bit of a drama because my mum emailed the manager to just say FYI I wasn't happy with X technician and the treatments I received. The manager has essentially called my mum a liar and said no way what she is saying is true (she has pics of the state of her nails and I can verify everything she said is true). Honestly pages of the manager saying nasty stuff about my mum as a customer. My mum will be taking it higher, but whether they will take any notice, who knows! It's a big chain of health spas and my feeling is she'll get fobbed off with nothing to show for it. I shall be doing a trip advisor review just to let people know about the customer service! I work in customer service myself and it's shocking the way the mananger has spoken to my mum, whether she thinks she has a point or not.
Sorry for rambling hahah! Have a lovely weekend also0 -
I've had a bid on a skirt I've been trying to sell for ages, so that will get a teeny profit. Yesterday was a NSD (9) and today should be one too (10).
Not got much planned for this evening. Will probably do some exercise, feed Max the cat for the last time as his owners come back tomorrow (so sad) and then chill with a glass of vodka (and mixer hehe!) Really enjoying my book at the moment so want to have a couple of hours to sit with that and just chill.
Seeing my friends tomorrow in London, but we will try and keep the spends to a minimum as I think we are all a bit brassic. Will be good to see them though as I barely get to catch up with them anymore, they both live and work in London and I'm still in Essex so coordinating schedules is hard.
I will update if anything changes0 -
Today I got up reasonably early (8am is early for me
) did some yoga and then was out to London to catch up with the girls. Spends were kept as minimal as possible:
60p for two toilet trips (me and my bladder, it's a hate/hate relationship)
£2.30 for a flat white
£7 for a venison burger in Borough Market (hmmmmmmm I know it's deer but it was so nice!)
£2.50 for a chocolate brownie that was "healthy" as had no sugar and no flour, was actually delicious
£1.50 for a bottle of water
£1 for a green juice that had been reduced from £3 as we were there at closing time
Travel costs TBC probably around £7
Total so far- £14.90 (w/out travel)
Not bad
I'm staying at the bf's parent's tonight and I think we're getting a kebab naughty naughty. That will be about £7 I think so overall not an awful spend day. Tomorrow should be spend free. I'm confident now I have enough money to last until payday!
My bikini from asos came that I bought for holiday - shockingly love it so that's staying. The money came from my holiday fund. I absolutely HATE bikini shopping, it is actually torture for me, so to like one straight off is a minor miracle.
Had two best offers for a couple of items on eb@y, were slightly less than I wanted but f*** it let's get rid. So they were accepted, buyers have paid and they'll be sent off Monday. Teeny profit yet again (the fees are killing me) but it all adds up.
That's it. Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend :beer:0 -
Well last night I ended up giving the bf £5 towards out takeaway. Was yummy.
Today has been NSD 11.
Was meant to do my long run, but somehow I've hurt my back and I didn't fancy doing 10 miles with it. Will have a bath tonight with some oil that is supposed to help back issues and try and do my run after work tomorrow instead.
For some reason I have had a flurry of eb@y sales today - 4 more on top of the two I accepted yesterday. They've all got to be packaged tonight to send off tomorrow. Funny, I was feeling so fed up with that site and then I start to sell loads again. Think someone's trying to tell me something
The bf's sister and her bf came back from their holiday yesterday, I got a box of fudge for looking after the cat, very sweet. I told them when the bf and I move out, we will happily take Max on if they are still unhappy with him. With me he was the sweetest cat, and we really bonded over the week I looked after him. Cat lady alert!
I'm hoping to finish my book tonight, but I may not get to it all until tomorrow. I have a final book in a trilogy coming out on Tuesday which I preordered, so as long as I'm finished this one in time to start that on Tuesday I'll be happy
I was naughty and ended up buying the colouring book and pens from amazon....:o I was buying some tassimo pods for the bf anyway, and the book was just sitting in my basket, and I've wanted it for ages....blah blah justification. I should still be ok money-wise for the rest of the month. I just feel like this month is so long, payday still feels like forever away.
That's it from me I think. I hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday :A0 -
I think your eb@y luck has rubbed off on me. I listed some furniture earlier and 15 minutes later I had a bidDebt Apr 15 - £6895.44
Apr 17 - £2500
Dec 17 - £560
July 18 - £199
CHEFS challenge (Cruise Holiday Entirely Funded by Surveys) - £685.79
Every penny is a prisoner0 -
That's so good Ena! Let's get the good eb@y vibes flowing0

A quick check-in from me-
Today has been a bit of a fail. Was meant to do my long run, but for some reason a lot of Mondays I get a headache which is like having my head in a vice. It comes on most Mondays around 11am, and lasts through to Tuesday and sometimes even Wednesday. This means I didn't think it was wise to run today. Hopefully I'll feel better by tomorrow. When I get this type of headache no painkillers touch it (and I have some strong ones that I "borrow" from my mum) I just have to ride it out. I don't think it helped I had a row with our courier service at work and while I'm "good" at confrontation, I don't really enjoy it and it gets my stress hormones flowing.
I sent off my six parcels.
Waiting for my book to come out tomorrow - eep, excited!
I realised that I said yesterday was NSD 11. And then I went on to say I'd done an am@zon order. Doh. So yesterday WASN'T, but TODAY IS NSD 11.
A lovely gesture from my mum - I gave her my board as I do around this time of the month, and she gave me £20 straight back and said "I want you to spend this on something silly, don't save it, just treat yourself." When I asked why she said it's because I work hardwell shucks
Now the question is what do I spend it on lol!

Thought I'd check in -
My book downloaded this morningRead some on my lunchbreak and am already enjoying it. As the money will come out of my account for it today I won't count today as a NSD.
My headache is a tad bit better today, so I am hoping to attempt a 10 mile run after work tonight. Wish me luck.
Not managed to do much in the way of swags lately. Really bored of the surveys and just generally cba. I will get back into it soon though (I hope) it is good to get the vouchers.0 -
Quick update -
Managed 9.5 miles last night in 1 hour 40 minutes. Struggled through it but proud that I did it, especially as my legs didn't feel good and I'd had the headache for two days. Legs are in bits today though can barely walk!
Spent £3.99 on a running belt to carry my gels etc. Got sick of holding them in my hands for 1 hour plus yesterday! Will be useful for my half marathon as well.
Had some money become available in paypal so moved a couple of quid across to everyday account to repay myself for the postage, and the rest went into my house fund. Sig updated.
Apart from that it's been quiet. Will be going for dinner with the bf tonight but going to try and keep it to a minimum. We've bagged a 30% off main meals voucher so that will certainly help!0 -
Yesterday I went for dinner with the bf, and used the £20 my mum gave me to "splurge" so that was really a free dinner
Had 3 courses and red wine, we really enjoyed it. Haven't had a long dinner out like that in a while, felt like we really caught up.
Spent £3 as got the bus to and from town. Also popped into Boots to replace a daytime moisturiser with SPF from Simple that ran out yesterday, was £4.99 but I used my points.
Last night and today suffering with my IBS - whether it's the overindulgence, or stress I'm not sure. I'm meant to be running tonight but if my stomach carries on I'll skip it and do yoga instead.
All quiet on the money making front - again not that bothered with surveys and no sales. I might get to some surveys tomorrow as it's a quieter day, but who knows.
Watched an interesting video on Youtube this morning about the process of buying a house. I knew most of it already, but seeing it laid out step by step got me thinking about when we eventually save enough to be in the position for that, gave me a bit of a kick up the bum!0
