Had some more eb@y success - the person who won an item on Sunday paid overnight, and a game I kept having silly offers for has sold at my full price, so those have been packaged and will be sent off on my lunch break.
£5.85 became available in paypal, so that's gone into my house fund, and sig's been updated. So can't wait for payday so I can move more money into there!
Should have enough money to last me until Friday as long as I don't spend anymore - was mentally calculating how much I had to come out of my account, and then panicked as I'd overestimated it. Luckily, I have some cash for some postage and petrol as I'll need that in the next couple of days, I have food galore at home and work, so should be fine. Just got to hold on
My earrings came yesterday, a day early, and I am SO SO happy with them. I was worried they'd be too big but they're actually the perfect size on my (very small) lobes, and I'm wearing them right now. I put them in as soon as I got home from work last night, I was so excited lol.
I have a countdown to my holiday on my phone, and it's less than two months now.....I cannot wait to be on a sun lounger by the pool, reading and basking in the glorious sun. Roll on June*daydreams to get through work*

There are also some goals that I want to complete in May, so let's put them here for now:
- TIDY MY ROOM- done!
- CLEAN MY ROOM (these sound bad but I'm really lazy at this so want my room spic and span again) - done!
- Declutter 31 items - either sell, throw or give to charity (as part of my minimalism plan) - still in progress, sold 7 items so far
- Change my wardrobe from winter to summer (bit too hopeful but I'm sick of jumpers) - done!
- Reorganise makeup - done!
- Read 5 books! - 1 done!

Okkkkk so £14.38 became available in paypal, so that's been moved over to the house fund.
Did my short run after work last night - 3.7 miles in 37 minutes, and the blister on my right foot is now super painful. My hamstrings were sore but I thought sod it, I'm gonna do it because I'd eaten loads over the weekend and felt guiltyWill eat loads again tonight too as I'm going to Pizza Hut with the bf. It's cheaper than our usual Zizzi, and I'm really tight now until Friday!
Yesterday I spent 83p on milk for the office, and posted my two parcels.
I went through my budget for next month, and eeeeesh it's gonna be a tight one. I will get less money this month as I had day off sick, but I won't be in my OD like I was last month so hopefully it shouldn't feel too short. I will really have to stick to my allowances though or it will move me right off schedule.
I have had to pay for a spa day for my mum and I, it was her Mother's Day present and we've booked it for May. Had to transfer some money from my holiday account so I have enough in my normal acc for when that comes out, and will pay myself back. That was £69 for the both of us, we each get a mani pedi (she's obsessed with getting a pedicure as she's never had one before) and we get full use of the facilities. From what I can see it is a spa room inside a gym, but there's a sauna and stuff so should be ok.
I will also have to pay for my portion of a "meet the sloths" experience I bought for my bf at Colchester Zoo for Xmas. He should be booking it soon, so I will have to pay £55 to join him (get the sloth experience and full entry to the zoo). I was so pleased with myself when I thought of that as a present, thought about it 4 months in advance lol. He was ecstatic as he likes animals, loves zoos and sloths are his thing (although I think they're creepy!) We've done a "meet the meerkats" one last year using a wowcher, was SO good, we were the only two in the enclosure and so had full use of the two meerkats that were there. They both loved me, sat on my head and everything:rotfl:
Anyway enough of me rambling, better get ready for work.
Have a good day everyone!0 -
So to start, £4.92 from paypal into my house fund, so that is currently £6,049.30 (last count before payday!)
Went and had a pizza last night, bf paid because he's a sweetheart. I paid the tip lol.
Then got petrol, and some chewing gum, costing £17.59. Shame how much petrol is at the moment!
Should be a NSD, going for a run later with the bf so will see how that goes as I'm so used to running on my own!
Counting down the hours till payday so I can move all my money around!0 -
IT'S PAYDAY!!!!! :j:j:j
It's been the most anticipated payday for a while haha.
Already moved over all my money into house fund (sig updated), holiday fund, health fund and car fund. Also moved over those costs I know are coming into my fixed outgoings so I can see how much I have to play with for the month. I have around £300 so that should be ok as long as I'm strict with myself.
Went for a run with my bf last night, he kept to my pace so I slowed him down a bit, but it was good to run with him for a change and I think we'll make it a weekly thing until the half marathon (coming round quick!!)
Not had anymore bites on eb@y sadly. One dress that I had on there with the tags still on, when I bought it I liked it but wasn't sure when I'd wear it. Well I've had to luck selling it for a couple of weeks ago, so when the auction ended and it still hadn't sold, I tried it on, and realised it would make a nice dress for holiday. So that's been moved over into the holiday clothes pile. Won't make any money on it but hasn't cost me anything either!
Bank Holiday this weekendI've not got any plans really, just want to have R&R and maybe do some organisation of my room. Still haven't done any cleaning so should probably start there
Getting my hair cut tomorrow as well so that will be money, but it needs doing as I had to move my appointment back 2 weeks as I had no money for it this month
Almost got enough for a paypal payout on Sw@gbucks - decided to go for paypal this time rather than amazon as I'm trying to limit my spending on there anyway. It I qualify for enough surveys today I may be able to claim that today.0 -
How annoying...got enough Swags for a paypal voucher (which is more than an amazon voucher) but when I tried to redeem it can't verify my paypal account. There's nothing wrong with my paypal but I really cba to contact paypal about it, so have redeemed a £5 amazon voucher and so have some leftover swags for next time. I will use it as some point, just not what I wanted this time round.
Today could potentially be a NSD, depending on if I cave and get a bottle of adult grape juice on the way home.....But I do have a bottle of adult potato juice already, so maybe I'll save my pennies0 -
What a lovely day for a Saturday
Yesterday was a NSD, and a dress sold on eb@y last minute. That's been packaged and will be sent off today. Today will definitely be spendy; I have my hairdresser appointment, and will be picking up some bits that I've put off buying for a while.
I will no doubt come back later with a confession of all that I've bought...I will try to be good!
As a side note, my mum had bought a jo malone perfume sample, and was showing me last night...I realised it was the one I had tried in duty free when going on holiday last year, but I couldn't remember which one it was as I only had the card with the spray of perfume on it.....now I really really want itIt's expensive but can get it a bit cheaper on eb@y. I think I will leave it until the end of the month, if I have the money for a 30ml bottle by the end of May, I can get it if I still want it....(Silly thing is I never knew I needed it until my mum reminded me! She's such an enabler)....

Yeah so it was a spendy day......:o
Got my hair done, super happy with it. Feel all glamorous with bouncy curls haha felt ridiculous going to Asda afterwards. Also a shame as I'm not even going anywhere today but hey that's life. Took a selfie and sent it to my bf whose reaction was "oh wow"
So I spent....
£1.27 at post office sending eb@y item
£16.58 in Boots on some body defuzz-ing bits and some makeup that is needed (the brows are looking a bit unruly so needed to get some stuff)
£2.40 on a flat white as I had some time to kill before my hair appointment
£47 on haircut (budgeted for)
£10.50 in Asda but some of this was for my mum
£3.00 in the pound shop on a toblerone for my bf and some packaging stuff
£2.20 on parking
Total: £82.95
It was gorgeous weather, and as I sit here drinking a non-alcoholic beer (had some left over from ages ago) a lovely dark cloud has just gone across the sky *sigh*
The bf is cooking tonight so will be a quiet one. We've been so boring lately but it seems boring is preferable to sitting in a dingy pub drinking cheap alcohol these days....saves money and my liver!:beer:0 -
Ah, hello Sunday, you've come round quickly again....
Went round my bf's last night and he cooked (lovely!)
Today I have had two eb@y sells - a game that I've been having silly offers for has sold for the full asking price, and also one of bf's shirts. I will post them off on Tuesday.
Did my long run today. Did 7 miles again like last week, and it was gorgeous weather, but it felt like everything was conspiring against me. My knees hurt, my foot hurt, I got a stitch that I couldn't shift and it was just generally hard. Feel disappointed with myself, even though I know deep down this time last month 7 miles seemed very far, so need to keep perspective.....sometimes runs just aren't what you hope they'd be. Onwards and upwards.
Spent £1.79 on a kindle book as it had been on my wishlist and has come down in price. That will go in my holiday reading playlist.
Also the sound has gone on my laptop, which is a pain as I use it as my tv/source of entertainment at home. Will have to use my phone to watch stuff, and see if my bf can fix it/get me a replacement from his work. If not I might have to think about saving for a new laptop *cries*0 -
Well done CB on everything so far, all those bits of income really add up and your house fund is looking fab :T
Good luck with your 31 item declutter. I find it easier to do it like that it smaller chunks, definitely more achievable, and then to make a bit of money is a bonus. Enjoy the bank holidayDebt Apr 15 - £6895.44Apr 17 - £2500
