Are u able to transcribe my link post above? No other way seemed to work.

Alarmingly since taking this picture I can see some very questionable wiring. Can see 2 wires hanging out and some cut at the base of the clock timer thing. I guess it's a time switch? Not a Teleswitch?
Wires looking like that I'm now even more suspicious !
Looks a mess. I'm amazed there has been no metre checks in all this time even with the stuck metre.
    Alarm bells ringing.

Rubidium - I replied before seeing your reply. I KNOW RIGHT? What is this mess? Has the e7 been decommissioned then by the looks of it in your opinion?
I will try add more pics.
  • yes.. as others have said its not wired and so impossible for the night rate to be active.. you are been charged at day rate for everything. Time to ring your supplier and start a complaints procedure

that is the old circular 24 hr timer switch which is used to switch the 7 hrs low and norm on and off. . These timerswitches are taken off altogether when the eco 7 s are changed to standard. I dont think a meter fitter would just leave that in place like that in that state. Can you confirm that the day rate is active for 24 hrs and not 17 hrs ?

I have included new picture link above of further look of the set up.

Im not sure what kind of 24hr or 17hr activity you mean Sacsquacco? sorry elaborate your meaning? need to brush up on lingo.

The irony of feeling great to have confirmed this issue! Thanks for help so far. I will definitely be needing to write a formal letter to start complaints procedure.

It is odd that the wire does not seem proffesionally tidied up. Whats the usual timeframe with which companies are supposed to check up on metres to ensure there functioning properly?
  • The timerswitch has been disconnected and I asked you to confirm that the meter is now running 24 hrs at the normal rate. Your digital meter has 3 rates, rate 1 (prob day rate ) rate 2 night, and usually it would have a T rate ( total of the two). The night rate has stopped so can you confirm that the other two rates are both advancing at an equal rate. If the day rate uses, say 15 units in 24 hrs, has the T rate also used the same 15 units in the same period ?
