    What have I lied about?
It seems the Conservative Leaders are the liars

Like I said before, I trusted Cameron far more and he should have led the country through Brexit.

If you truly believe that remaining in Europe was not a widely discussed topic in the referendum of 2014, then you are clearly deluded or ignorant of the facts

You really don't want to have this argument - you will lose, it's been gone over time and time again and always comes back to the same points.

    - Conservative manifesto, people were aware of the commitment to an EU referendum so leaving was a possibility
    - No guarantee of Conservative government in 2015 but it was a possibility
    - Everything that Better Together said regarding the EU during the 2014 indy ref was correct.

    Get over it.

Clearly not, else we would not be having Brexit negotiations.
    A significant and fundamental change.

Forget 2014. The people of Scotland voted to remain in the UK and we will be taken out despite the preference.
Our economy is reliant on migration into Scotland.
The parliament voted for Indy Ref 2.

Just accept it and let us get on with it.
The Scottish government have said the timing should coincide with the outcome of the Brexit negotiations.

It's becoming plainly clear that Brexit will be to the detriment of Scotland, hence the polls recently showed the Scottish people would rather be independent but in Europe, than part of the UK and our of Europe

Because the government are not going to march to the beat of Sturgeon's drum.

I have no doubt that if the country wants a second referendum they will get one in time.

You first hurdle will be to get 50%+ of the popular vote in the GE.

Doubtful, but if they do I will advocate on here perhaps now is the time.

Get real, when has any party in Westminster achieved 50%+ of the popular vote.
Only SNP have had anywhere close.

The time is clear, TM stated that Brexit negotiations took president and the Scottish government agreed to the timing.

I just wish the PM would stop procrastinating as usual

Ugh, you're spoiling for an argument. I'm not getting into anything about Brexit with you right now, I feel that it's a distraction tactic. I straight up called you a liar and I'm sticking to it.

    So...

Transport yourself back to 2014, pretend for a moment that you have absolutely no knowledge of what transpired in 2015, 2016 and 2017. You are about to cast your vote in the 2014 indy referendum. Better Together argued that voting Yes would revoke Scotland's EU membership, they were correct. They also said that voting No would mean Scotland retained its EU membership - also correct. They said nothing about a Conservative majority in 2015 leading to an in/out EU referendum in 2016 in which Leave would win.

So please, enlighten us all as you've "seen the light". I can't wait to hear what unfathomable excuse you have for claiming they were liars when they cannot predict the future outcome of general elections and referenda.

Now that you probably understand your mistake perhaps you'll take some advice and think a little more before you make up your mind to parrot pro-indy/SNP lies?

Incidentally, it seems to have been glossed over, but a recent poll showed:-

    Independent Scotland in Europe 56.7%
Conservative government out of Europe 43.8%

Could be very interesting either way on July 09th

    You're being hopeful.
    What's the betting it's ignored?

How about a link to that "recent poll", ISTL?

I'm not a liar or distracting tactic and have moved on from 2014.
Quite simply and clearly (for those not ignorant or putting their head in the sand) the situation today is different than in 2014.

Stop living in the past and accept the current position.

This is a debate board and you will naturally get a difference of opinion.

    No no.

You're not wriggling out of this.

    Better Together didn't lie.

What you're essentially saying is that I can say anything about the status quo right now, such as the Moon orbits the Earth, and the moment that stops being true (billions of millennia from now) you can come back and tell me that because I said that aeons ago when it was true, that you can call me a liar because that circumstance has since changed.

That is your logic here is it not?
