I know you hope these EU guidelines will be watered down somewhat. But kicking things off by threatening to withdraw security intel and then dropping mentions of War, task forces and how the UK's navy could 'cripple' Spain probably wasn't really the best tone to start productive negotiations off with.

Actually, I think it's clever politicking.

If the UK does need to take the drop out route / straight to WTO, it will need to paint the picture that it has been forced in to this option by the overbearing EU.

It doesn't take much to whip up support by suggesting the Spanish are keen to impose on little old Gibraltar.

Sturgeon could force a Scottish election now to push for another indy ref, but she hasn't the guts. She's frightened of losing her cushy job.

Maybe she needs to recruit a few Tory Grandees to fight her battles ;)

What's in the snp budget for legal challenges to the uk government?

For those who suppprt independence what % of expenditure would you say is reasonable in pursuit of independence?

I think we'd all take your comments a bit more seriously if you weren't so eager to portray English Westminster as duplicitous incompetents and SNP Holyrood and every European politician as the epitome of good governance and of impeccable character.
Despite your bluster borne out of near desperation, your dream of Scottish independence becomes weaker by the day.
I think you know that really.
I don't care how you take my comments or what you think I think about Scottish independence. I don't take your comments very seriously either so don't worry about it.

Slightly related to your comment Sturgeon will be visiting and speaking at the UN this week. Wonder if she'll be asking backstage for more detail on their self determination charters ? ;)
The First Minister will also speak at Stanford University on Scotland’s place in the world and at the UN on the Scottish Government’s programme of work supporting women from areas of conflict in participating in peace building activities.

May's off to sell arms to Saudi. Stanford Uni has just had to announce a waiting list for cancellations due to demand for tickets.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Talking of credibility, the FM is a complete and absolute disgrace...feted by people who have no idea of her appalling record of running an administration whilst grandstanding on issues outwith her remit.

Even people who have never voted tory in their life have far more regard and respect for TM...and rightly so!

Nooooooo... May has to have the guts to refuse outright a section 30 order first. Good politicking ? Debatable.
Reality is about to give the Brexiters a painful smack

Certainly, public statements suggest an ostrich tendency. The foreign secretary, Boris Johnson, notoriously, has said that “our policy is having our cake and eating it”. Meanwhile the prime minister has declared that “no deal for Britain is better than a bad deal for Britain”, yet Mr Davis has admitted that no formal analysis has been done of what the costs of “no deal” might be. This looks like a damaging case of wishful thinking.

One can only hope that Mrs May and her team don’t believe a word of these wishful statements.

About 8.4% of expenditure in the persuit of Brexit. Hammond put aside about 60 billion recently for that didn't he ?

Do you live in the real Scotland or some sort of Brigadoon type parallel universe?
The Scottish people 'self-determined' that they would prefer to stick with the Union just 2 and a half years ago and if the polls are to be believed are vehemently opposed to Nicola's vainglorious Indyref2.
Enough with the winky emoticons, the 'dream ' is dying on its backside.

...But the real point is how does a Scotland that wishes to dissolve the Union do so without the option of going to the ballot box ? In your own time...

Scotland does not want to dissolve the Union.

    In case you missed it.

Let me get this straight, I'm on a debate forum posting stuff which you do not agree with in the interests of debate which by it's definition means 'opposing views'. And I'm a blithering idiot for doing so ? Is this correct ?

:rotfl: Daaaaamn ant! you got owned...

I disagree with you on the fact that the vote 2 and a half years ago means staying in the UK in perpetuity. Things changed must faster than anyone could've anticipated and promises made at the time have not been kept. In May 2016 Scots voters voted two parties into power who are both pro independence. They've since voted through a bill seeking permission on a second referendum. This is where we are in 2017 like it or not.

Support for independence hasn't fallen so I also disagree with you that the 'dream' is anywhere near dying on it's a**e. This is possibly just wishful thinking on your part. As is your faith in recent polls showing Scots are against a second referendum. You're misinformed and should probably check such statements before making them.

Winky emotions are there to be used as freely as one wishes. :p:j:A You are also free to scroll past my posts without responding. It makes no odds to me either way although if you do respond, I would prefer it if both you and antrobus laid off with the Brigadoon, telling me what I think ( I can do that for you ) or angry name calling blithering idiot type responses. Cheers.
