Tbh I don't think the EU will take them - they don't need another Greece.
The amount of trade that goes between Scotland and the rUK is such that it would hurt if they left the UK. Yes we'd save on Barnett but peoples jobs in the rUK are on the line in this too.0 -

No probably not as the damage would already have been done.
I'd welcome the people who wanted to move here though, and the businesses.0 -

£12 billion will buy an awful lot of jobs in RUK...Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -
Just to repeat the ONS says Scotland's budget deficit is 9.4%. It was actually 9.8 % in 2015/16
Compared to UK 2.9% and 3.8%Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -
Greece's deficit is 7.2%......Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0

So how are the economics looking? Still denying the figures? If so, what is being given to the Scottish people instead to help inform them to make their decision?
This when they publish their findings.SNP Growth Commission
COMMISSION REMIT The Commission will assess the projections for Scotland’s economy and public finances, consider the implications for our economy and finances of different potential governance scenarios, and make recommendations for policy on:- Measures to boost economic growth and improve Scotland's public finances - both now in the aftermath of the EU referendum and in the context of independence;
- The potential for and best use of savings from UK programmes in the event of independence, such as Trident;
- The range of transitional cost and benefits associated with independence and arrangements for dealing with future revenue windfalls, including future North Sea Revenues.
We'll have to wait for their report. And this is SNP based, the Greens and other independence groups will have separate reports I'd assume. Kevin Hague etc are all still sadly working from outdated 2013 white papers and it'll be good for them to get their teeth into something else at least.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

We both know it won't, but would you change your vote if they came out and echoed the same sentiment that all other analysis on the Scottish economy has?0 -

So Nicola is demanding a referendum on independence with no accurate information on Scotland's financial position.
What could possibly go wrong?If I don't reply to your post,
