    So no respect for the result less than 3 years ago, with which a 'Yes' vote would have had Scotland outside the EU anyway.

    .

    Objectively there is a case for it given the terms of the deal have altered (Cameron etc promised a NO vote meant assuring a future inside the EU for Scotland)

    The Scots wont vote to leave the UK and walk away from huge benefits to include;

    1. 5 Eyes membership
    2. Having a UK seat at global rule setting bodies
    3. A huge deal with The Commonwealth on the horizon (similar GDP to EU, but faster growing and 1/3rd of world citizens, and just very exciting)
    4. On-going UK-EU trade (trade wont be hampered come what may)
    5. Safe secure, enterprise friendly UK - the lumbering intrusive low growth EU will look a dreary prospect come 2019

    Hadn't Cameron already pitched the EU vote by 2014? There was no caveat to the Edinburgh agreement, both sides were to respect the result.

    This is the SNP having a go until they get the right answer.

    So once again it has been proven beyond doubt that the SNP cannot be trusted.

    The last independance referendum was a "once in a generation" chance.

    Do they really bread that fast up there :eek:

    Don't worry, when Sturgeon loses again she will have another go in 2022.

    The neverendum train will roll on.

    Just hope all costs of referendums are paid for by Scotland then!

    Scotland clearly fits with the EU. If democracy gets it wrong then it must be time to hold another referendum until the voters get the right answer.
    I think....

    Allegedly there is going to be an announcement from Bute house this morning, I think it will just be another wee warning to May rather than an announcement of indy ref2 but I think it will let the people of Scotland ( and the world) know things are heating up

    Wrong yet again.

    Might as well book the third in now.

    She was already lying today by suggesting by holding the referendum before Brexit that we could potentially remain in the EU. It's complete nonsense.

    Reuters;
    A second Scottish independence referendum would be divisive and cause huge economic uncertainty at the worst possible time for Britain, a spokesman for British Prime Minister Theresa May said on Monday.
    "Only a little over two years ago people in Scotland voted decisively to remain part of our United Kingdom in a referendum which the Scottish Government defined as a 'once in a generation' vote," the spokesman said in a statement.
    "The evidence clearly shows that a majority of people in Scotland do not want a second independence referendum. Another referendum would be divisive and cause huge economic uncertainty at the worst possible time."
    Nice try Nicola. But the answer's NO.
