Yeah, yeah, you've established your working class credentials.
You've established your hatred for the tories.
Why this is relevant in this debate is beyond me.
Why on earth a you campaigning for an outcome which will devastate the lives of the poor, the vulnerable and anyone who requires a robust state led level of services.
If we were ever in the nightmare scenario of massive cuts to services, a currency not worth the paper it's printed on, an economy from the dark ages and zero influence in the world, I don't think many people will be interested in "we got rid of the tories"
It seems independence supporters are quite happy for Scots to suffer austerity as a price worth paying for imagined "control".
ps Any chance of answering Clapton's oft asked query regarding which currency we would use?
I am sorry, but I stopped responding to you or islandannies posts quite some time ago. From my own Admin experiences running forums I think both usernames are probably the same person at it. Sincere apologies if not, but like Clapton, repeating the same post over and over and over again since 2013 exactly like the one above until we all lose the will to live gets a little boring for everyone.
You're really best off replying or engaging with others in the this thread if you want a detailed response. Sorry luv.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

What of the rest of the economic data?
What about it ? The good news seem to be that all the immediate economic forecasts from HM Government about Brexit and catastrophic economic collapse were totally wrong. Scots will be taking note of that.. for future reference. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Psst. It's Sterling under the control of the hated 'Westminster'. When Nicola snaps her fingers you'll be arguing it's the best idea you've ever heard of.
I really hate it when Clapton's right too but until the polls are 60% there will be no referendum unless the waning SNP are playing a last desperate roll of the dice.0 -

ENGLAND: "Well you can't have the pound"
(very little time passes)
SCOTLAND: "lol"I really hate it when Clapton's right too but until the polls are 60% there will be no referendum unless the waning SNP are playing a last desperate roll of the dice.
Polls who are pretty crap at predicting referendums and elections at the moment it has to be said, have independence support sitting in margin of error territory +/-3% either way around 50%. I think we'll go with that on the pro-indy side. Last time it was 28% when a ref was called. Salmond had no hesitation in calling it anyway. Neither will Sturgeon if she feels it's necessary. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

I can't wait to see the monocles popping out and apoplectic bluster in Tory HQ when Sturgeon calls the next referendum.
Good grief. The Queen will be upset!
First she has to accept filthy Marxists into the Privy Council, who dare to not scrape and grovel like they are equals or something, and next that blonde buffoon who stabbed nice David Cameron in the back has lorst Scotland after all.0 -

outrageous untruths.
THe 60% I post about is MY educated guess about what Nicola is looking at:
in NOWAY is this a quote from the SNP person (I would never quote such a disreputable source in any event.) To be on the safe side I always assume everything that Nicola says is either untrue or hollow rhetoric.
The refusal to deal with the currency question is an absolute disgrace and may well cost the SNP an iscotland victory. Treating people like fools is not always a willing stratagem.
Take my advice, try to treat the voters of scotland as having some intelligence.0 -

I don't think you should be psssting anyone about a possible indy ref maybe two years from now. Or currency.
...
a. You have no evidence that the government are ar*ing around (as you put it). In fact, many of the key personnel at the heart of the UK government have changed. Nobody can be surprised if they take their time over making plans.
b. They have no obligation to tell the public about the inner discussion and arguments. That public includes you and I. The EU negotiation team will also not feel beholden to discuss their day to day plans with 450m EU citizens either. If you want to know the real detail, then get yourself a job on one of the negotiating teams.
c. When is this much floated indy ref 2? You keep talking about it, yet we are still in the dark. It sounds like the SNP/Nicola are ar*ing around ! (to use a phrase someone used)0 -

It's very old fashioned politics. "My dad this...man and boy that..."
I don't have to like the Tories, but I can recognise they are the best of a so-so bunch in what are difficult times.
I can't warm to PM May. She won't be invited around for dinner any time soon. But...I can see how her tough cookie qualities could prove useful in the coming months/years.0 -

Why.... Grrrrrr you ALWAYS do this.
Is GERS a forecast? No.
Will Scotland be in control of monetary policy? Doesn't look like it.
Will Scotland have a massive deficit? Yes, approx 10%.
What the hell, how can these things be wished away by citing economic forecasts related to Brexit for the entire UK.
You guys really take the !!!! sometimes.0 -

You really haven't got a clue have you. Unless it's spoon fed to you from the PR machine. With yet another media grabbing headline assault. At least Brexit will be structured, planned and considered. Evolving as it goes.0
