He was also proposing all sorts of things that would make handling Covid-19 easier - essentially the entire Labour manifesto.

Universal broadbands looking like a pretty good idea now we're potentially talking about home-schooling all students for the rest of the year, eh?

90% of the UK have broadband, the majority of people with kids will have it.  The idea of universal broadband is being dealt with, but the idea of free broadband and BT being the only ones supplying it is ridiculous.  And that is spoken from experience.   And if someone is not happy with their broadband speed then there is always the option of using a  4g router. 

Would Corbyn still have been throwing money around nationalising everything, he probably would.  This is going to cost the country dear without someone at the helm spending money where not necessary.

Boris is doing what is needed when it is needed.  

As far as i can tell it appears Corbyn does not want to self isolate.   Considering this is to ensure that the nhs is not flooded with high-risk patients I would consider this to be as selfish as most of his responses to other events have been.

They have simply realised what side their bread is buttered on.  They will probably come out of this shouting that they want a referendum and then, should they gain independence, refuse to pay their very genuine debts.

The ones that matter know that, which is why Nicola Sturgeon has said Scotland will not try it rather than Herzlos.

It's empirically not. We can't change the Union, because we're subservient, but we can host a referendum. This has been done to death though, so you can win if you want.

A lot of kids don't have access to broadband, though I'd assume most adults who have the ability to work from home already do. 4G dongles are useful in a pinch but that still relies on poor families forking out money they just don't have.

I'm not particularly worried about the well off kids here - they'll be fine and will academically excel. The poor kids who don't have access to resources now that the schools are unavailable to them are a different matter.

Excuse me but what planet are you living on please?
Because you very obviously do not have either children or grandchildren.
If you did you would know that almost every single one of them over a certain (but not as old as suggested) age has at least one social media account, often more.
That's how children today communicate with each other.
Added to that, by far most children nowadays play games via either console or computer and nowadays games don't often come on a disc you know; no, they require broadband.
It's almost a necessity for any child, like their mobile phone or tablet.
These "poor kids who don't have access to resources" just do not exist in any number except in your wild imagination.
You're years behind the times.
