    I'd seen mention yesterday that Scotland is currently supplying more electricity to England than France does.


    That alone should get us a good trade deal with the UK, or give us a lot of electricity we can export elsewhere (providing we can build the appropriate infrastructure). Even if we go it alone it means we'd be completely self sufficient.

    The UK buys a lot more stuff from the EU than it sells to it. Using your impeccable logic, that should get us a good trade deal with them.

    Once the PPI money runs out the demand for expensive German shiny metal will fade. Not that it's industry image isn't already severely dented.
