It's dead as a duck, despite the desperate spinning and misinformation of the propagandists around here.Nicola Sturgeonâ€Verified account
Today’s events beg a real question for Scotland - do we want to continue with a situation where a handful of DUP MPs can hold more sway over the future of our country than our own democratically elected Parliament? 2:14 AM - 12 Mar 2019"Stick to the debate"....yes, we have done, for thousands upon thousands of posts, pages, tweets, discussion, speeches etc, etc. Pity some on the YES side don't posses the insight to realise the NO side has won that debate. The latest Holyrood Constituency/List poll by Survation (1-4th March 2019)
Con: 24% / 22%
Lab: 22% / 19%
SNP: 43% / 32%
Lib Dem: 9% / 11%
Another party: 2% / 1 %
Greens: - - / 11%
UKIP: - - / 3 %
This poll would deliver yet another pro-independence majority at @ScotParl.
Scottish Westminster Voting Intention:
SNP: 40% (+4)
CON: 24% (-3)
LAB: 23% (-3)
LDM: 8% (+1)
Via @Survation, 1-4 Mar. Changes w/ 21 Oct.
The latest Survation poll also shows that 7 out of 10 people in Scotland want another Scottish independence referendum.
Nicola's going to pull the trigger soon. When's that SNP conference again ? ( 27th and 28th April ).It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

OK, I am still trying to work this one out. They did not sell their votes, they vote the way they want to to try and influence UK policies.
If they had agreed that English people could vote in the Scottish parliament I would consider what you said to be a little less than total nonsense.
If they had sold their votes, would they have voted against longer Sunday opening hours so that they could avoid cross border competition - as far as I am concerned they should not have had the chance to vote on that matter, and quite a few other ones.
No, they did not sell their vote, they complained that they were disadvantaged and needed more money. If they are so rich that they can afford to go independent then we should keep that money and spend it where it is needed here. Let them find out if they need us or not, start by forgetting about Barnett. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Arklight wasn't debating. He/She was trying to be funny at another posters expense. The No side, largely down to Brexit and the Tory partys handling of both it and Scotland specific issues concerning leaving the EU...are now losing the debate.
The Daily Mail are desperately trying to spin the results of their poll re a second ref but failing really badly. The Tories are breaking up the UK all by themselves.

I know this must seem terribly important sitting as you are, surrounded by piles of copies of The National that you've bought to try and convince people it isn't wee, connected via the net to the nerve centre of Nationalist agitation, which is a small flat in Somerset full of old Amigas.
But the rest of the world has moved on! The rest of Scotland has moved on!

1) If the rest of Scotland has 'moved on' how come the two most recent polls show that Independence is more popular than No Deal/Theresa May's deal ? Care to elaborate ?
2) How are you intending to stop this ? ( I trust the Scotsman/Sky News are ok for me to quote ? ). I mean what can you really do if she goes ahead with a vote ?
Wednesday 13 March 2019Nicola Sturgeon has said she intends to "exercise the mandate" she has to hold a referendum on Scottish independence in response to the Brexit turmoil.
"If we are to be taken out of the EU against our will, there's a mandate in Scotland at two elections now, to give the people the choice of independence," she told Sky News. "When we get to the end of this chaotic phase of negotiations, which I hope is very soon, then I will set out how I intend to exercise that mandate."
Note :- she says HOW not if. The only way to avoid a Scottish vote now is revoking Article 50 or negotiating a Norway style deal. Probably too late for the latter. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Crikey Shakey you are 98% of the Nationalist voice since the others all disappeared. Look around you, the stage is empty, you are the last one. The last Scottish Nationalist on the forum.
The others have accepted their fate and got on with their lives. They have moved on, building a brave and hopeful future in the United Kingdom as proud British citizens. Subjects of her Britannic Maj.

Time is ticking away. Next SE due May 2021. A GE election in the midst of exit negotiations is a risky strategy.0

the time will come
the yes camp are ready ... Are you ?0 -
Yeah, sounds reasonable, (NOT); why don't we skip what was agreed and check every 2nd Sunday at the behest of a few lonely voices on the internet to see if the Scottish people have learned nothing from Brexit, and are prepared to vote themselves into financial disadvantage, further division, and a huge drop in ability to care for the poor/vulnerable in our society?
Or maybe another scottish referendum would be a life raft to escape brexit?
