Hold on i thought Scotland was already independent?Left is never right but I always am.0

Shakey says the polls show a stunning victory for Yes this time. She has graphics and everything.Nicola Sturgeon has said Theresa May is “deluding herself” by trying to persist with her Brexit red lines, and suggested details of the timetable for a second Scottish independence referendum would be revealed within “weeks”.
Also rumblings of another indy party being set up in order to stand in any Holyrood election ( list seats only )... should Nicola feel the need to resign and call an election/vote any time soon of course. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
Ian Blackford spoke for twenty minutes tonight in the no confidence debate without mentioning fishing. Obviously a matter of no importance to the SNP.The fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists.0

This sounds promising though !Joanna Cherry QC MP
Excellent news. An exclusive new poll has revealed a majority believe Scotland should have #Indyref2 if #Brexit goes ahead. More than 56%.
The clock is ticking down to a very important announcement from @theSNP #BringItOn

The National got in the Guardian's news roundup today!

Incredible because it's so wee. This is probably the first time most people in the UK knew that there was such a paper. I think the North Norfolk Gazette is angling for a spot tomorrow.0 -

Strange reporting from the Herald below. They'd normally want to bury polls and results like these.A majority believe Scotland should have Indyref2 if Brexit goes ahead, an exclusive new poll has revealed.
Reacting to Theresa May's Brexit deal defeat, more than 56% of Herald audience panelists believe the country should hold a second independence vote if the UK leaves the European Union.
It also found they overwhelmingly feel Brexit should now just be binned and not renegotiated.
This is quite an interesting take as well. Though the DUP would never stand for it.A semi-Brexit, with just England and Wales leaving the EU, is the solution
If Scotland and Northern Ireland remained, as voters there wanted, it would open the door to a better deal all roundIt all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

So is wanting to leave a union ten times your size good or bad?
I don't see how a semi-brexit would work, scottish goods would still have to truck through a non-eu area, and the back out the other end, with all the delays and paperwork that entails. Shipping isn't a viable alternative for most goods, it's slower and the expense isn't less for relatively short sea journeys (if you're looking at trucks on ferries, you're having to pay the driver at sea. if you're looking at container only, you need two set of trucks at either end for the land legs). I personally would help burn down the customs posts on the border though as I am a reiver.0 -

How rude, I was just trying to tell you that your newspaper had got into a proper newspaper. I thought that you would be pleased.0 -
