It's all ramping up again suddenly isn't it with the marches, Growth Commission, the Independence Foundation launch today
The National can exclusively reveal the beginning of the Scottish Independence Foundation, a new organisation that will help promote the cause of independence by offering financial support to grassroots campaigns and projects.
and all the open talk about independence from the First Minister and other indy supporting parties and media. It's obviously co-ordinated to build up to something happening soon.
THE First Minister has said her party’s conference this weekend “marks the start of a new chapter in Scotland’s road to independence”.
Nicola Sturgeon issued the message to SNP members in her introduction in an 84-page handbook which has been sent to delegates attending the event in Aberdeen on Friday and Saturday.

I don't think the conference will be 'the' announcement, that's more likely to be nearer Oct. However, due to the fact there is absolutely no hope whatsoever of a BetterTogether 2.0 reincarnation happening.. Unionist priorities will concentrate absolutely everything they've got on stopping a vote from taking place at all in Scotland.

The question is just how far they are willing to go with that.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

But no talk at all from the union supporting media or the majority that rejected independence last time there was a 'once in a lifetime vote'. So basically, nothing's ramping up at all outside the fevered minds of the minority.

oh it's certainly ramping up ...AUOB in D&G was busy at the weekend ... even radio Scotland has had quite a lot of positive Indy stuff on it ... not quite sure what to make of that tbh worried is one way of looking at it I spose ... I've noticed a change in the BBC with regards to Indy compared to last time, it's a bit too little too late for me to give them the time of day

the meetings have started in earnest as well
and this time the BT side are really gonna have to prove were better together

Unless you can go back in time and change the result of the last referendum, I'm afraid that Indy is a busted flush. Scots have turned their cheeks towards the UK and electing Tory MPs, bizarrely enough.

Did you miss the bit about the First Minister of Scotland talking openly about Scottish independence, new chapters, Growth Commission reports on independence ( with national assembly debates on the content), biggest ever marches and announcements of grassroots funding for independence groups ?

As much as you'd probably prefer it to be 'all talk' - am afraid it's pretty obvious that this is a huge and co-ordinated effort timed precisely to coincide with the Brexit s**t hitting the fan as both Tories and Labour run out of road.

Removing Scotland from the Single Market has always been Sturgeon's red line and it's never wavered. That the SNP are gearing up to call a vote in the event of this isn't news, it's what they've said all along. After a year sitting back, twiddling their thumbs and saying nothing much..the wheels have been very obviously set in motion for such a vote.

The question is how Theresa ( or whoever is in charge ) will stop a vote in Scotland from happening ?

Davidson will be on maternity leave and Labour won't campaign with the Tories again anyway. Lib Dems will just look daft campaigning for a second referendum ( EU ) but campaigning against a second referendum ( Scottish ). So to save time they'll all just agree that Scottish voters shouldn't be able to have a vote, mandated and passed by the Scottish Government in Scotland.

Is everyone still eating popcorn whilst waiting for Scottish independence?

Rather like watching Lord of The Rings it drags endlessly on..........
