not totally with merit or humour even
at least the SNP constantly whinge and try to do damage to the government (and sadly the people too), whereas Corbyn is only happy talking to Trotskyites, the IRA and similar.0 -

I'd agree with posters above that English devolution is required if the SNP continue like this.
The English have only the British parliament as representation, unless we're going to truly recognise the British parliament has supremacy and stop this SNP circus and that Scotland is a state within the nation of the United Kingdom and it is a regional parliament, not a national one.
I totally agree, I believe she is very dangerous and will stop at nothing to get her way. MY OH family are from Scotland and they say they are totally embarrassed by herDont wait for your boat to come in 'Swim out and meet the bloody thing'0 -
Understandingly Spain and France oppose Scotlands proposals for special treatment.
Can`t say Sturgeon wasn`t told often enough what Spains attitude to an independent Scotland would be, she constantly derided any question of that being the reality.
Grown up politics isn`t as simple as she thought I guess.

Yup, Sturgeon is making a fool of herself, falling over clearly visible obstacles. I guess it comes from being in a collective of nodding heads.

I would be interested in seeing if BoJo pops up with a plan for the future that involved the UK joining EFTA and the EEA. I've always believed the SNP have too much faith in the EU. If they had gone independent in 2014 they'd have been better in EFTA and the EEA. I feel that may also be better for the UK in general but is it too big to join?
I would've liked to have seen and EFTA or EEA myself ... that was the option I discussed during indy ref with people0 -
Sturgeon is no fool.
She knows that the publicity she is getting in Europe is invaluable for pushing Scotland to the fore of the current events.
The English are left in no doubt about the consequences of their vote and will think twice before taking Scottish approval of EU secession for granted.
As usual the SNP are running rings around their Westminster counterparts. I wish we could just move the government a few hundred miles North to Holyrood. At least then we'd end up with a government that actually gave a toss about the welfare of the country it was representing.0 -

You're letting your anti-Tory-at-any-cost attitude get the better of your slightly better judgement.
While I disagree with the result of the EU Referendum, I really have to remind you that the UK Government is respecting the decision of the UK Voters, while the SNP has never respected the decision of the Scottish Voters in the Scottish Referendum and has continued the SNP disruptive way even since it was held.
Personally I doubt that Sturgeon is getting the sort of publicity she wants; she been on a fool's errand.Union, not Disunion

Joining EFTA, combining with other nations which might now want to leave the EU (potentially Denmark, Holland and France) and subsequently with the increased bargaining power, being involved in negotiating or rather, at that stage, renegotiating a better deal with the EU. The UK would then be part of an economic assembly with the other EFTA countries totalling at that stage well over a market of 100 to 200million.
Sounds like a plan.
Edit: I'd prefer we were in the EU, but if things get rough with EU negotiations, well
