Just thought I would have a look at Q3 2016 trade figures by region...

Calm down Shakey, you're frothing at the computer.

No need for me to repeat the obstacles to your "cunning plan", so keep on - - you seem to have a wonderful strategy to persuade people in Scotland that the SNP are what they seem to be.

If Scotland vote for independence, what you want is irrelevant.
the Scottish electorate and the MP's will determine the course going forward.

With regards to the currency, whether we opt to have our own currency or peg it to another such as the Denmark Krone, the Hong Kong Dollar, the UAE Dirham or indeed the GB pound or alternatively adopt another currency such as the Euro.

You need to keep up with Nicola. On the Andrew Marr show last weekend she said that Scotland didn't want the euro and wouldn't have the euro.

They're not actually. Catalonia is going to hold a referendum which is illegal under the Spanish constitution. As I've already indicated to you several times, Sturgeon won't do anything like that.

Plus there are lots of other constitutional differences.

Well in that case, you won't be having a referendum. God, is it really so difficult?

    That's a big "if".
So far the vast majority of evidence says independence won't happen.
    Which makes your post irrelevant.
Am not sure about the 'vast majority' of evidence. Over time it seems somehow... inevitable...

So they are definitely not going to join the eu then? Because pretty soon they are going to make it so that anyone in the eu will HAVE to adopt the euro. After all, they still have some economies to destroy.

We've already HAD a referendum, so there's no legal reason we can't have another one. Westminster has already in 2014 via the first independence ref explicitly recognised the right of Scots voters to choose independence if they wish. By accepting and allowing the 2014 referendum to go ahead, you've already set the blueprint and precedence for the next.

Nothing like Catalonia. Gawd, brick wall.

A positive trade balance always helps, whatever the currency.

It seems the ones in London and the South East who think they make all the money are actually causing the most debt by looking at the table above.

    ISTL?
    ......

The Conservatives have an obsession with the constitution.

It appears you have an obsession with me.

At this rate, you'll be referencing me more than the Conservatives reference Independence, Nicola Sturgeon or the SNP in the election leaflets ;)

As flattering as it may be, I would much prefer to stick to discussing the topic at hand, not any individual
    Moving on then ..........................

    Very much appreciated

It sounds like Labour have suspended the nine councillors who formed a coalition with the tories in Aberdeen to prevent SNP control.

    http://www.thenational.scot/news/15292496.Kezia_Dugdale_suspends_Labour_s_nine_Aberdeen_city_councillors_over_coalition_deal_with_the_Tories/

What will be the consequences of the Labour Councillors being suspended?

    As it stands: -

    SNP Councillors = 19
    Conservative Councillors = 11
    Labour Councillors (suspended) = 9
    Lib Dem Councillors = 3
    Independent Councillors = 2

It is strange that parties would form an alliance to try and keep out the SNP in Aberdeen, yet in another area form an agreement.

A tough position for Kezia and I can understand the decision she took as it could have had a far wider impact on the Labour GE votes.

Reading your link through, surely this is a good position to reflect the electorate votes

Your taking my point too literally.
I'm sure you understand the point I was making.

I just put out some options that an Independent Scotland could explore.
If the government of Scotland opt that they don't want the Euro, then they have plenty other options
