Penguin reply for calleyThe good old relationship 20. Even the skinniest of my friends have gained weight when they get into a serious relationship.
I am not happy with my weight either. Trying to do something about it, but the scales are not moving as fast as I'd like so of course, I'm a failure, everyone thinks I'm disgusting etc. and I'm having to throw cardis over all my pretty dresses because back fat. Just yuck. Small changes though. Maybe declare one or two nights a week takeaway nights and then the others you have to cook - you could have a pot and put what you'd have spent on a takeaway into it and use it for a holiday. Do you think he'd be up for that? end penguin
As for the work thing, could you maybe volunteer somewhere for a couple of hours a week, then build it up to make sure you're able to cope then once you're at say, 16 hours a week, then look for a part time job? Or do you have any skills you could make into a business?
I have been home sick today because I didn't sleep at all last night and with this stupid cold, I just felt wiped out. It's hard to care when things are progressing in the other place. I'm just waiting for my formal letter from HR and I can quit the new place :j I'm also avoiding my one to one because I know they're not going to say good things about my performance, and it's going to be hard not to say, "Forget it, I'm leaving." I don't really want to do that until I have the formal offer through, and at the glacial speed HR move at, it might be a week or two.
Currently dying a cream lace dress that I panic bought when I was looking for a dress to wear to a party then decided I wasn't keen and forgot to return it until it was too late, so fingers crossed it works and looks better in wine.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Hmm, looking through the washing machine door, it doesn't look good. I may have some cheerful lilac cleaning rags.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Swain does love to have a takeaway at least once a week, its not doing great for my waistline, that said i'm still having the issue of not eating when i'm at mine so the only time i actually eat is when im at his (i say i dont eat, i may have a few packets of crispshe once told me if i stopped eating crisp he feared i'd waste away). i hope once we get our own place i'll feel able to cook again (and that he'll eat it :P ). Could you get Action Man involved in the cooking? Maube suggest you;ve found a new recipie you want to try? Or try recreating takeaway at home? If he was single for a time before you i've found some men start to rely on takeaways. One of Swain's mates is single and literally lives on takeaway. On 2 years of knowing him i can count the times i've seen him cook for himself on one hand  so maybe iits just a habit that needs breaking? Try not to let it get you down (easier said than done i know).

Sorry you're feeling unwell Code, hope you;re feeling better soon and get goood job news
Well i'm an idiot. Went to the tattoo shop to get my tattoo.....and i'm actually booked in for tomorrow! How on earth i got my days mixed up i dont know cos i checked my email after and it said tomorrow as does my diary! So spent the day looking round shops in a part of town i;ve not been to in ages. I had a really agressive beggar come up to me, first he pretty much demnaded a cig, then asked me for money, i told him sorry i had nether and he stormed off mutering how useless people were  I then came across another homesless guy, he was actually really polite and apologetic and did seem to be genuinely sleeping rough. I said i had no change but that i do have a staff discount card so could i buy him some food? He didn;t seem sure at first and said he didn;t want me to go to any bother. I went and got him a toastie, a sausage roll and some brownies, cost me about £2.50, and he looked genuinely happy when i came back with themI read work on trialling a suspended coffee scheme in some shops so that would be good if it came into force.

Code,
We both need to loose weight, he has been downgraded by TA permanentlydue to his weight, Mind you what they are suggesting for his weight is just silly.
He has been eating mainly take out for the last 3 years since his wife left so its getting better. I told him once he moves in I am sorting out all the food and meals. I will not feed him stuff he does not like. But will cook and go out for walks on my own and stuff him if he does not want to join me. He has more reason than me to to loose weight and get fit.
Its like last night by the time we had walked action collie got back cooked tea. He was finishing off the washing up at 8.30pm!!!!!
Might have to buy electric steamer. Means I can put on veggies, chicken or fish and go out for the walk with action collie. And have tea cooked by the time we come in.
I really don't want to go back to work. As I know what will happen. My anxiety will got through the roof and I will end up having sleepless nights about having done something wrong. Then I will be back to the massive soggy mess I was before.
I don't believe I have any skills that are of any use personally. Enough about me thats boring :rotfl:
Massive (((code))) you are stuck between a rock and hard place. And you have not been treated as fairly as you should have done. I don't know what to suggest. I know what it is like not to want to get up and go to work. And would rather stay at home under the covers.
Everyone take it easy and keep as warm as you can. I am off to walk action collie. And when I get back might pick up my x-stitch which I have not picked up for about 5 months. Very bad of me.

Thank you MU.
Seems when he tries to cook action collie gets very upset as he has manged to set fire to things in the past.
(((MU))) what a thoughtful and lovely person you are. I bet you made the homeless persons day. You should be proud of yourself.
Right need to go as looks like action collie is crossing his legs :rotfl:

Calley Xcertainly put me off cooking for a while though!
Regarding work, is it the anxiety thats putting you off? It can be VERY dauting going back to work after not working. I hadn;t worked in 3 1/2 years before this job, barely had any contact with the outside world, had no confidence and was like a duck out of water. Hell i remember getting my probation extended because my customer service was apparently "poor".I talked to my manager about that the other day and she said she couldn;t believe the change in me, that now my customer service is great and i know what i'm doing. Its taken 4 years to finally feel confident on myself (well work wise at least) but it took a leap of faith and taking a risk to get there. When i was on ESA i honestly thought i;d never be able to work again. But it just took me finding the right job with the right support. I'm sure you have many good qualities to offer, you just maybe can;t see them

When I was at my worst it was the job and relationship issues. But I last worked November 2015 cut the agency work short. Just could not work any more as making myself really ill over worrying I was getting it wrong.
I am not mega confident anyway. And I know that action man supports me no matter what I do. But I do need an income of sorts. Even £600-700 a month would be enough for me to be able to pay bills. Run a car and put some away and have fun money.
You are of course right I do have some skills but at 44 still don't know what they are :rotfl: And MU you get gold stars for working face to face with the public. I did customer services down the phone and wow oh wow is all I can about how rude some people are.
Massive hugs all round.
And you will be glad to hear that I did a sort of jog/walk thingy with action collie. Even though I had no sports bra on and just my jeans on better than nowt :T

What kind of work would you be interested in calley? Office, retail, care? You don't need to go for anything stressful at all.
I am looking at all the gorgeous huge houses I'll never be able to afford on rightmove. It's highly amusing though - for £6m you can have a 2 bedroom flat in London, or an actual castle in Scotland. That's crazy!Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Code,
I started in IT support which I fell in to and then admin. No idea what I am interested.
Just don't want to have to deal with people any more. Which is hard when you are working with other people :rotfl:

Hi guys. The lady who hired me as a 'temp', has offered me more hours and a possibility of a full time permanent job.
While it's nice to feel appreciated, I'm only consoling myself with the fact it's only temporary.
Click. Minimise. Look at something. Click. Maximise. Type. Repeat is only bearable if I think there's an end to it.
If this is permanent, I don't know what I'll do.
They're good people, doing a complex and thankless task and I can see how this job supports them, but :huh: Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0
