Were.... were we supposed to? .
I probably need to take my tree down today. It's so pretty- I did a really good job this year and it blocks the window meaning nobody can see in but it's kind of making me sad that Christmas is done and that this one hasn't been the happiest. I hate when you take the decorations down and the house looks so bare and empty.
I also have severe going back to work stress, which has been rumbling in the background since I left the office before Christmas. I really *1,000,000 do not want to go back there. Still not heard anything about an interview from the old place but it does pretty much shut down over the Christmas period and doesn't do anything quickly at the best of times. I reckon I'm going to be stuck where I am, at least until MarchDoes 6 months in a job look bad on your CV?

Morning my lovelies,
Hugs and squishes and handshakes all round.
Had my parents and younger brother his wife and my two nephews around last night. Got tided up and washing up down with 30 mins of them leaving :j
My younger nephew came in the door saw Action man and went "who are you?":rotfl::rotfl:
They loved playing on the x-box most of the evening. Kept them quiet. They really seemed to like action man. So thats good.
Just need to polish off left overs :rotfl:will be sending action man home with some this afternoon.
I have eaten so much rubbish and still got loads to eat as well. But am craving some greens. Never thought I would hear myself say that
Not going to make any resolution as such. But would like to take a photo everyday of the year. Even if its really mundane. And get fit. Not going to say loose weight as I hope that will go hand in hand in getting fit.
we had a frost and now sunshine. Might see if I can get out for a walk later before the sun goes down.
Everyone take care.
Will catch up with you all soon.
Yours
Calley XHope for everything and expect nothing!!!

Go on, do a quick twerk now!codemonkey wrote: »I probably need to take my tree down today. ( Does 6 months in a job look bad on your CV?
If it's sunny where you are, today would be a very good day to take it down, as the sunshine will make you think of Spring, and you can give the room a good spring-clean and set it up for the longer days!
Maybe then go and buy a nice bunch of flowers to replace it !
Also if it's done, it will be one less thing to worry about doing when you're back at work.
Also, 6 months doesn't look bad at all. Much better than the 6 weeks it was going to be originally, do you remember?
Just hold onto the fact that one way or another, you will change jobs before too long.
What I would say, though, is that it might be good to get a definite promotion package on the table, as part of your return to the old job, and not just a 'We'll see' or a 'To be reviewed in three months', or a 'Probably, but......'

Catkins? The willow thingy?
Both taking the tree down and twerking would involve moving, which I'm not inclined to do.
Don't worry, I'll be interviewing for a specific job, so I'll know exactly what level I'll be offered, if any. The old place are very by the book and structured, which in a way is a bad thing because they require so many processes before anything gets done. Just not sure how long I can cope in the new job.
Callie - in your first effort to get fit, Pyxis wants us all to twerk - you can do mine.
Autocarrot keeps changing twerk to tweak. Sorry autocarrot, I'm not going to do meth today.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Yeah! Autocarrot! Get down with the bruvs and Urban Dictionary!
Not only does it not know what a shed is, it doesn't know what twerking is either!

Hazel catkins, rather than willow.
Have had a small hazel tree in a 'temporary' pot for a few years, and this is the first year I've seen catkins on it.
I hope that means I'll get a few fresh hazelnuts eventually. I love fresh hazelnuts!(I just lurve spiders!)

I have had a cold for the last week, basically since I got home on Boxing day, and had to come home from work on Thursday. Hi all. I had a random psychotic episode so am very shaky and going to bed. I got stuck in a horrid world. Disgusting body penguin- I also managed to poo myself during it. I can't believe it, I am so embarrassed. I really have no control of the body at all at the time. I really hate it and feel totally ashamed. End disgusting penguin

Don't worry about the penguin.
Stuff happens.
I've twice had that happen, but for very different reasons, both very valid, though, as was yours. :A(I just lurve spiders!)

Better out than in, WaS. I guess that is an adrenaline reaction, lightening your body for fight or flight.
I am pleased that we decided not to go food shopping before xmas. We therefore haven't wasted food that has gone off because we were elsewhere or too stuffed on chocolate.
I got given £40 that I thought I probably wouldn't get back at all.
Had a verbal tussle with a niggly, tired DH this morning. Littlewing asked if we were arguing. Then she pootled off to the bedroom, and said to DH: how can you argue with yourself?
I got my Christmas cards down and am converting them into gift tags.
Then I have to find the new cards for the year and put them in my card box dated up so they are ready to give/send. Saves me a fortune to be organised.
Have to get better with money this year. MU, I shall adapt Swain's ideas for a couple of big presents. Also I am paying too much for phone/internet so that needs to be sorted asap.
Really don't want to go back to work, either. I have to stop thinking that way. I have moments of panic (not panic attacks fortunately).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
