Thanks peeps. I have the odd moment of being a bit excited but it quickly turns into full blown panic :rotfl:. I am fully aware though that it's just a hobby, and even if I went in there and couldn't do a single thing nothing bad would happen.
I haven't told my parents as I really want to surprise my mum with the certificate.... so I'd better pass!
Think happy, calm, musical thoughts for me at 10.30 tomorrow please
That's the very worst that could happen tomorrow, yet birds will still sing in the trees, flowers will still bloom in the spring!
If that is what happens, I'll eat Whitewing's new 'at! :rotfl:
What's one step up from not being able to do a single thing? It's not doing enough to pass.
To not pass, you'd pretty much have to not play anything! If you get through your scales and theory tests, and play through the pieces with as much feeling as a wet brick, you'll pass.
What's one step up from not passing?
It's passing, without getting a merit or distinction.
Nowt wrong with that, especially for an adult with a full-time job etc.
What has your teacher said about your ability? That will be a yardstick to assess your chances by.
What's one step up from passing without a merit or distinction?
It's getting a merit!
Most people would be likely to get a merit. Your teacher wouldn't be putting you in for the exam if she didn't think you were capable of that.
Any other steps up are icing on the proverbial!
And now we're a very long way from not being able to do a single thing! :A
You can do it, flutey girl!
When you've done it, record it as a soundtrack onto youtube and post us the link! :T
And when you get home, swop this flute.....
For this flute.......(I just lurve spiders!)

Haha love it Pyxis! I'm not usually much of a drinker but this week is definitely driving me to it
My teacher is v v lovely and says I have nothing to worry about... I know that technically I can do all of the things I need to, am just worried about nerves getting the better of me.0 -

That's where a bit of acting can help.
Start imagining you're in this play, and your character is a world-famous flute player, and you are going to play the flute to a world -wide audience during which concert, you play magnificently to rapturous applause and approbation, receiving a huge bouquet of flowers!
You are that flute-player, but it's only only an acting part. You can act it out for that hour or whatever, and then go back to being Tea!
See, Tea?(I just lurve spiders!)

ER is now permanently in a nursing home after the care agenc withdrew and no one else wanted to go in. The relatives we thought were being taken advantage of financially turn out to have been taking advantage of him.

Good luck, tea! Play a song for me!
Ugh, sorry to hear that elsien.
Milliefleur is also in a care home now. So far they have agreed to respite but there is a place open for her if she wants to stay. It is a truly lovely home, they even have a bar! We are taking bets on how long it takes BIL to get barred from a care home pub...Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

She would prefer to be at home but she is still quite near her house so they are allowing her sister to take home for a few afternoons a week. The plan is that she will hopefully come to like it and choose to stay. She has a lovely room with her own phone and tv, there are a lot of social activities and of course the bar which she can visit daily if she wants. Already she is doing more, we can't quite get our heads around it. She says she wants to be home but then won't get out of bed or eat, in the care home she is doing both but doesn't want to stay. She made a friend in the first 3 days and they walk around the grounds together. We are confused!
Feel free to join in the bet! BIL is bound to get banned from the bar eventually! Hahaha, yes BIL will have to sign on for employment allowance now!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
