Mmmmm, bed and toasties. That sounds like a very nice way to spend a day, it's just a shame you feel rubbish and can't enjoy it just for the sake of it.
I hope you feel better soon and don't push yourself too hard with paperwork and zumba and undo any of the good the rest will have done you.
I wish I could offer some advice to people who are struggling with work issues but, seeing as I've been stuck in the same dead-end job for the past 15 years, I don't think I'm best placed to tell people what to do.0 -
Afternoon my lovelies,
Hugs and squishes and handshakes all round. I need them to warm up as even though we have sun still cold.
Sorry to hear about peoples work place woes. Wonder why I am scared to go back to work!!!
Have done a load of washing, mine and a few bits from action man. It is a 8kg machine and it was full up. now granted did the bath mat and an extra towel. But action man wears massive bulky hoodies. And bless, there are a couple of XX's in the size!!!! yarp a big lad. I told him I will get him fit. He did mention about a half marathon and tough mudder thing he would like me to do with him next year
Need to think about taking doggy out soon. As going out for tea. Told action man I want him to stay in his work wear. As he wears smart trousers and shirts for work. His request I wear something to complement his attire!!! no idea as gained weight again. Not sure what will fit.
Will think about getting the washing in soon :rotfl:

Oh !!!!!!. Now I'm getting snippy emails about delays on a project. Can I just quit? I am so fed up, I sent a very snippy email back. I am [STRIKE]on the edge of [/STRIKE] in angry tears.

code,
vodka bottles. Do you know anyone who buys boxed xmas cards (with cardboard tray and clear plastic lid). Those may work for your gifts.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I would pay flipping good money to go home for bed and toasties right now.
Also.... I have a music exam tomorrow morning and nervous doesn't cover it! I don't remember them being this scary 20+ years ago.0 -

Code,
you can't do your job if you are not being given the tools to do it. So nothing to feel bad about. massive hug.
I once had a stand up row with a boss about the same sort of thing. This was big thing as I don't do confrontation. We moved from one bit of software to another. And the new bit could not do what I needed it to do. I told him that. The IT guy knew it as well. my boss accused me of not liking change. well I don't if it means I don't have access, by the means of a simple query to see what customers owe us money!!!!took close to year to get the query. And I sent all the query letters out a week before I left :rotfl::rotfl:
To everyone having a bad day. when you get home change in to pj's or in action mans case minions lounge pants (don't ask)curl on the sofa with a hot drink of choice and a fleecy blanket and cuddles from any pets you have. And watch rubbish tv.

code, remember that you're being put in an impossible position due to lack of access, so your frustration is understandable and reasonable. Know that doesn't help much when you're in the middle of it though

Thanks peeps. I have the odd moment of being a bit excited but it quickly turns into full blown panic :rotfl:. I am fully aware though that it's just a hobby, and even if I went in there and couldn't do a single thing nothing bad would happen.
I haven't told my parents as I really want to surprise my mum with the certificate.... so I'd better pass!
Think happy, calm, musical thoughts for me at 10.30 tomorrow please0 -
Good luck for the exam tomorrow!!
Can I think the happy, calm thoughts for you now please? It's our work Christmas party tonight so at half 10 tomorrow I doubt I'll be capable of thinking much other than "Ouch, my head!" and "How long til home time?"
Morale in this place is awful at the moment so I'm hoping that it ends up being just what we need and we manage to have a good night rather than everyone sitting around miserably because nobody cares anymore.0
