I make lists to beat the blues.

For example, because I love Xmas, I have lists of people to send cards to, presents to buy, presents to wrap, food to buy, drink to buy, about a million lists. (Useful because I am never stuck if someone asks me what I want).

I will still celebrate Christmas even if I am on my very own. What makes me happy doesn't change that much - nice food, glass of snowball, TV, fairy lights etc. Good to have family around but sometimes better to not!

After Xmas, I shall have declutter, spring clean and redecorate lists. May not do any of it but it is the thought that counts, lol.

The more fed up I am, the more anal my lists.

The only things that don't go on my list are anything that relies on a particular person. That just is a bonus of someone does something they have said they will.

My lists are pretty much open ended 'nice to haves'. There won't always be time and money for all of it but it is amazing what comes along if you are keeping an eye out.

    Code we luvs you! :A :A :A

You're right, it most likely is a combination of the pain and the change of job. Either is enough to drive you into a trough, so both together is pants.

One things I've learned from all my various troughs of different depths is:

    THIS TOO WILL PASS

    so hang onto that thought.

Well, my corset thing has arrived! :D

I need to be your Squid to get it on, though, Code!
It fits at the waist with the laces undone, but as I expected is too big in the bust, but I am hoping that doing the laces up at the top will draw it in. I'll be wearing a blouse under it anyway. (I hoped for a lace blouse but couldn't find one online, and wasn't well enough to go to the shops).

I need someone else to lace it up, though!
Has anyone got any tips for self-lacing?

Stupid DPD....I'd ordered some harem trousers separately, and they were due to come today, too, as I paid for next day delivery. I was given an hour's window, fine, so started to keep an ear open for the doorbell. Anyway, 15 mins into the hour's window, I got a text to say there was no-one in, please rearrange delivery! No doorbell, no use of the knocker either! Just a card through the letterbox!

I was steaming, and shot off a moany email to customer services. Also rearranged redelivery for tomorrow.
I must admit, customer services did come back to me reasonably quickly, and said they would ask the driver to phone me if no-one answers the door!
Didn't have any probs with the Interlink driver who brought the corset!

I'll put a big sign on the door saying I AM IN! tomorrow.

These harem trousers are the ones I'm hoping to wear with the corset, although I do have a back-up pair of trousers if they're no good.

  • Code you need some co-codamol or something to get the pain under control. Pain can really get you down.

hi code, sorry you're feeling so low..(((code)))
Hi guys, Had my 3rd hospital appnt in 4 days, rheumatologist, 1st appnt/. He thinks it's more likely autoimmune than cancer, he's testing me for loads of them, but thinks i fit the profile of lupus. I asked him to trace back these abnormal inflammatory marker test results and he traced it back to may 2011 when i had sepsis.. I feel so devastated that I've been so ill for so long now. , and my previous gp and my gastro surgeon denied that I'd never recovered and dismissed my symptoms for half a decade adding i layers of negligence on top . I knew I had never recovered,i just couldn't get any medic to look into it. until i changed my gp and she picked up on this abnormal results. I'm terrified of the results of the tests, still waiting for the mris to be booked. it's all really overwhelming..
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)

Blimey, the things people think to post.

Faerie, at least if you find out what it is you can start to get treated. It's all steps in the right direction - try not to worry too much in the meantime, although I know that's not so easy to do.

    That was interesting.

You tend to only hear about people hearing bad voices; it was interesting to hear that you can hear only good voices, as well as, like WaS, a combination of bad and good ones.

It must be quite nice to hear good voices saying nice, reassuring things. :)

Also interesting that people sometimes start hearing voices when over 60 and/or after losing a partner.

Totally unrelated really, but there were two or three times when I was sure I heard my dog bark, long, long after she had died. It was sad, but comforting as well.

Ugh, I'm having a terrible day. From transport problems to set up problems in my new job, I have had to take Kalms to keep from losing it and walking out.

Penguin (not crotch biting, just a bit dodgy) I wish I had a hookup around here. I really could do with a little devil's lettuce right about now.
    end penguin

Would it look bad if I applied for other jobs now?
