Argh! I was reading about psychological disorders because I like to stay informed on the latest research and I discovered one I had never heard of before that happens to occur when two of my disorders collide. Now I am checking myself every few minutes to make sure that I don't have it. The ironic part is the panic that I might develop it is caused by OCD and paranoia which aren't the two disorders that cause the other condition I was reading about. Penguin reply I can sympathise so much, I have times where I have to avoid FB because of all the "motherhood challenge" type posts. Even though I know that it's in no way aimed at me it feels like a "ha ha, look what everyone else has and you don't" slap in the face.
We've been trying for just over a year but, due to OH's ridiculously low libido, there's been a lot less trying than I would've liked so we've probably only really been in with a vague chance for about 3 or 4 months out of that time. Seeing as we're both pretty old (I turned 39 last month) to be starting trying for a family I generally think there's not much chance of it happening but then I look at friends and family who have got pregnant at 40+ and think that maybe it could still happen, then my OH rejects me again (okay, it's not really rejection but that's how it tends to feel) and I go back to nearly bursting into tears on the train because the woman sitting opposite me is wearing an oh-so-smug "baby on board" badge.
I don't know why some days I'll be fine, can see the positives to being childless (impromptu nights out with friends, the not worrying about being entirely responsible for another human being etc.) and am pretty happy with my life and other days I have an overwhelming desire to scream at every pregnant woman I see and have to avoid shops which sell baby stuff for fear of having a full on meltdown...0 -

Glad you got an appointment through fast Pyxisx
Glad that ER was a lot better WW. Fingers crossed she continues to make a swift recovery.
As for me, I am bruised, battered and aching. I feel so sore and tired that I could cry. I enjoy cycling on the flat, but this was a full on mountain track with lots of hills, on my Auntys bike which had NO suspension whatsoever. Well, I say my Auntys bike, I swapped with my uncle about 2 minutes in as the brakes were horrendous! They squealed like mad, and I wasn't totally confident that they were going to do their job....so, I got my uncles bike!Which, also didn't have any suspension.
I fell off it twice, and have bruises all down my inner thigh, a whopper on my knee, and we won't mention my bum cheeks! Still, everytime my uncle braked, it amused me! The high pitched yelping noises made it seem like I had Joe Pasquale on a bike behind me! :rotfl:0 -

I may not be operating at full efficiency today.
Mum asked for a coffee. I figured I could do with one myself, although I've cut down a bit on the caffeine intake today after yesterday's headache - it's better today, though still feels a bit like my head is stuffed with wool. So off I went to make coffee for us.
Anyhoo, make mum a coffee, but I don't present her with the coffee. Instead I try and hand her a big jar of coffee.
Then I went and actually called E "E" on the phone. It's not even her actual initial. Oh dear...She would always like to say,

Awww, Lambyr! One of those days! I would add to your city if I was you.
A very pleasant thing just happened. A doctor's receptionist left me a message on the phone about a routine appointment and she pronounced my last name correctly. This is not as simple as it seems. My great grandfather was german and came over to Britain just before World War 1, He altered his last name to a very english version for his and his families safety as people weren't too fond of germans back then. The receptionist managed to pronounce it the proper german way despite the english spelling, that has only ever happened a handful of times in my life! Sometimes I contemplate changing it back to how it is supposed to be because I really like how it is pronounced.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I'm insistent on being productive today and making up for yesterday before I add to my city. Admittedly, since I'm currently typing away on here... and using Edge to do so, since I blocked this site on Firefox and Chrome during the hours of 12:30 and 17:30... it may not look like I'm being productive. But I am! I've done stuff and everything! I'm just having that coffee break...
And that's a nice story, WaS! Not quite the same but both my first name and my middle name seem to cause people issues. I don't actually use my first name and use my middle one instead but sometimes people still get it wrong even though it should be fairly easy. I think if you prefer the German pronunciation then you could change it back if you wanted. I have to admit, the main reason I don't use my first name is not cos I don't like it but because there's a lesser chance of someone getting my middle name wrong, and also I'm too lazy to explain my first name and people who find out about it do tend to ask because it's not common at all.She would always like to say,
