    Hello everyone!

Been trying to keep to my schedule today but my mind is struggling to stay focused.

So I found a couple of productivity boosters. Stayfocusd for Google Chrome and LeechBlocker for Firefox.

They both let me block distracting websites during set hours, giving me a short period of time to use sites on the blocklist. Then they tell me off if I try and access them during the hours I've set if I've run out of my allotted time!

Let's see if this helps me bully my mind into focusing. I have two minutes left here... :rotfl:

    They tell you off! :rotfl:

Do they stop your pocket money if you disobey? :rotfl::rotfl:

Actually, I could do with stern robot right now, too. :( (As long as it'll cuddle me if I start to cry).

I have lemon and cardamon chocolate if it help?
Turned up in the post today so I'm guessing a freebie that I forgot about. Almost inspires me to start comping again.

Inspired by Lambyr I have made a resolution to stop faffing around on the laptop when I should be doing other things. Unfortunately I then started faffing around on my phone instead. Maybe I just need to lock everything away for the day?

    Pfft.. what pocket money?:p

The Chrome extension displays a "Shouldn't you be working?" message when you try to access a site you've put on its blocklist.

The FireFox one just says that it's been blocked.

It's kinda useful. Admittedly, there's ways round it, but I think just the fact that you would have to take the long way to procrastinate is enough of a kick up the bum to actually focus on your work.

Managed to crank out 2,500 words on a novel as a result! Yay!

I ended up calling in sick, felt i had to, was still feeling spaced out and woudn;t have felt safe at work. Side effects seem to be easing off a little now, i don;t feel constatly drunk :o which is a plus side. Also mood seems to be picking up a bit. Anxiety is still bad, had to get off the tram earlier after 2 stops :o cos i was surrounded by people and felt a panic attack coming on. Eased up once i got off though. Back to work tomorrow. Hopefully there won;t be any fallout from me being off, if there is then i called ACAS yesterday and they advised me that time off for treatment could be considered a reasonable adjustment, and that if work peanalise me for it to call them back as legally it should be covered by the equality act. They also said that if anything bad had hapepned to me or another member of staff when i was in that state work could have been in trouble for health and safety reasons.

Hey MU. It's nice to hear your mood is picked up a little, though I'm sorry you've been having so many problems regarding work. For what it's worth, I understand the urges to get off buses and trams. I can barely afford to run my car but I can't be dealing with public transport myself and have often gotten off early because I suddenly felt uncomfortable. I find I have difficulties with the noise and even though there probably isn't, I get these weird feelings that someone's watching me and it makes me anxious.

On my side, I've had a bit of an down and up evening. First I was feeling chuffed with myself for getting work done. Then I checked my bank account... being the absolute genius that I am at times, I forgot that I'd shifted some bills around and that more had been taken than I'd budgeted for which mucks up the plan for the next nine days. Oh bum. Ended up in a bit of a panic, and called myself some names.

E called me while on a break to confirm our plans for tomorrow night and though I didn't tell her that I was internally beating myself up she asked what was wrong, so I told her. Few minutes after the call she sent me a text telling me to check my bank account... she's sent me the money to cover everything. Couldn't believe it. She's saved me a bunch of bank charges.

Gonna have to think of something special, but cheap, to do for her on Saturday.

An hour blowing bubbles and watching them drift away is special and cheap. You can make them different colours http://www.mamaplusone.com/diy-color-bubbles/

    I haven't tried it though.

    You'd get some great photos.

I am shattered. My elderly relative has had a stroke on the way into town with me so I spent yesterday juggling work and hospital. I don't feel too well today.

I also am running out of money by the end of the month at the moment. Need to get a grip.

Aside from all this, I am cheerful. My tesco boosted order has arrived at the store so I can pick that up.

Oh dear. I have been reading, I promise, but I haven't posted for AGES! Many, many happy returns Georgie and HBS!

I've actually had a couple of days off work (leave) but have no idea where the time went. And this coming weekend I am off, again - another opera :D Anyway, I have two days' work to catch up on, so must zoom off now - hugs and squishes to all, and more in the squish cupboard.

Just one question - how are your bathroom mushrooms, WaS? Did they ever get sorted?

Oh yes, the mushrooms! What did happen with them?

And the leak onto your bed too!

I want to blow bubbles now, although the thought of my OH singing "I'm forever blowing bubbles" and trying to get me to join in (he's West Ham, I'm Spurs...) is probably enough to put me off actually doing it!!

WW - I hope ER is on the mend and being well looked after.

MU - I hope you're feeling better today and that work are good about you having taken the day off.

Lambyr - I don't know if you enjoy cooking but I tend to make cakes or biscuits for people as a 'thank you' and biscuits are particularly good if you want to decorate them with silly messages.

Ooh E sounds like a right keeper lambyr! But I'm guessing you already knew that :D

Hope your relative is doing ok today WW and that you have a quieter day and manage to get some rest.

    MU, how you feeling today?

WaS, I'd also like an update on the mushrooms! :D

Random question for JM (or anyone else)... do you ever find you get a piece of music you've been playing so totally stuck in your head that it just won't go?! I'm used to general earworms from the radio etc, but for some reason the fact that it's something I've been playing makes it worse, it feels more ingrained in some way! I clearly need a lie down...... chance would be a fine thing!
