Good afternoon all! I now want a cuddly Griffin, thanks elsien! Your baskets look lovely!
That's quite a positive list, Lambyr! Do you want us to remind you to do things? Pyxis is good at that!
I want those shoes, Calley! I could never walk in them but I would just stare at them contentedly knowing they were mine!
Hope you are getting through today, MU whatever you decided. Starting new medication is often horrid, I usually sleep for a week.
Well done on the shopping, whitewing!
All ok here other than the stabbing pain in my side. I don't think it's any better but I have become used to it. The most annoying thing is I can barely move so I am even more immobile than usual. Poor WaSp is missing out on his daily walk so it had better improve soon.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Thank you for your reply, lambyr, which was helpful. I wonder if I will ever actually lose weight, or i will be the most muscular short-!!!! in Britain.
No problemDon't take this as professional advice cos it isn't but I'll PENGUIN this just in case:
I don't know if there's any health concerns or disabilities I'm not aware of so forgive me if none of this is relevant, but if you want to lose muscle mass as well as fat then it's possible. Cardio burns fat and muscle, because it burns calories and muscle needs calories too. The larger muscles need more calories (so thighs for example).
If you do any weights, then if you use light weights rather than the big ones, you can tone the muscles rather than build up bulk. Also, you can get ankle and wrist weights which you can wear throughout the day and are barely noticeable but they aid weight loss due to the little bit of extra weight you're carrying around but they don't really build up muscle mass (except perhaps strengthening some of the muscles in your ankle and/or wrist!).
But like I say, this may be completely irrelevant to your situation!
END PENGUIN
Hope you're feeling OK, Pyxis.
And well done elsien on the gardening. I need to do some work on mine at some point but instead I've been lazy and been working on my make believe city. She would always like to say,

That is gorgeous, Lambyr! I used to make cities like that in SimCity. WaSp is wanting to buy City Skylines which is apparently similar so I might give that a try.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

That is from Cities: Skylines!
Well worth it. You can get hundreds of different mods and things on the Steam Workshop for it.
There's a bit of a learning curve though. I still have a few problems getting things to work smoothly.
And as for your previous question, yes, please, feel free to poke me to make sure I'm doing things! She would always like to say,

Ooooh, now I really want WaSp to get it, I could have fun with that. The graphics are amazing, look at those little cars! It will make a change from Minecraft and Don't Starve for me.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

It is a really beautiful looking game. You do need a good graphics card to get the best out of it and close ups do drop your framerate a bit but there is so much fun to be had!
One of my favourite mods for the game adds a ground-level camera option to the cars, so you can select a car and get a first-person view as it drives around your city. Might not be the most exciting thing ever, but I could upload some footage to YouTube if you like to show you?
You can even get extra cars added in as mods. I've got UPS and Guiness trucks,, Shell oil tankers, Audis, BMWs, Coca-Cola vans etc. all travelling around. She would always like to say,

Elsien, your garden looks lovely. I want to do something similar with mine, but DA dog choses a plant, sits on it until it dies, then moves onto the next.
OK. Costume advice. Towards the end of the year I'm going to a disney themed costume party. Because I'm not a pretty, pretty girl, who feels comfortable in skimpy costumes, I'm considering going as Ursula - plus size and fabulous, although other suggestions are welcome (I was toying with Princess Leia, Esmeralda or Tinkerbell).
Anyway do I try to make something, with my rubbish sewing skills and no access to a sewing machine, or do I buy this?
ETA: I know this is the Ursula reboot as a skinny, which I'm not keen on, but pretty skirts.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
No idea who Ursula is, but that dress is amazing. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
