Am about to embark on another big sorting mission! The other day was upstairs cupboards/draws, and today's is the dreaded under stairs cupboard....send in the search party if I'm not out by tea time!

Already put a leather jacket in the charity shop pile. Am starting to realise that I haven't just put weight on on my bottom half, but also the top half too....it's blooming depressing (apart from the bigger bust....that can stay! :p )

Just hope I don't get that pain in my side again that I get when I bend over and crouch down. :(

Went to visit my Dad yesterday for Fathers Day. Weather stayed ok until we got back to the car. :) Legs are feeling it abit today as we did the "hard" route.

Pyxis, I just love butterflies! I'm thinking of getting a tattoo (in 3D) like the orange one to join my other one on my shoulder.
  • So far Milliefleur seems really happy with it. We were particularly cheered when WaSp rang her and she told him she was getting ready to go out so didn't have time to talk and he would have to call her back later! That certainly wouldn't have happened two weeks ago. We are really hoping that this works, she does love being around people so it should do. I do understand because she has been full of energy her whole life, she is one of those people who never sits still and has spent little time alone. The more she has to do, the happier she is.

This gives WaSp more time to do the things he likes to do, he has been popping out for 3 hours every day to take photographs in various places which is his passion. That is fine for me because I can be left for that long and it allows WaSp to have a hobby that he loves just for him outside of the flat. As long as BIL doesn't find a way to mess this up everyone is better off. I am crossing everything!

ETA On an adorable note I did ask WaSp if he would prefer to meet his friends for a few hours a day. The poor man stumbled all over himself and said that he actually loves spending 3 hours all by himself but that doesn't mean he doesn't want to be with me! I totally understand, I never go out so he has no time alone in the flat at all and his usual life is either being with me or Milliefleur, constant company, caring duties and interaction. He is really appreciating a few hours a day alone with his camera and I am really happy for him that he can now have that. This has given WaSp the breathing space he needed.

So pleased thatv WaSp can now indulge his hobby, he needs 'me' time the same as everyone does. Well done those social workers!

Sorted out another 3-4 bags of stuff for the charity shop, the back of the 4x4 is totally full now!

Arn't you clever, Waves!! I wouldn't know how to do that and a trip to the computer hospital usually costs around fifty quid so you've saved money! I got some malware recently from watching a movie on Putlocker.. never again!

I went out today to the centro for keyworking and the support group, but my foot didn't like being walked on , it's swollen back up again and it hurts like hell, so I think I'll have to rest it. It hurts more today than the last few days.

    Georgie well done you.

Faerie sorry your foot is more painful

I am so annoyed. I called the surgery and then waited for a call back. I wa first given an appointment in August!! Really had to push and can see someone next week, a trainee but that may be a good thing. Seriously thinking of changing surgery.

Thanks Torry :) Always feel better when I've got rid of stuff. Stuff that has sat in cupboards or drawers and that I've kept hold of because I felt I should and because so and so a person bought me it. I always felt bad getting rid of stuff, but I'm becoming a lot more ruthless lately. I feel if I haven't used it/looked at it/worn it in a long time then it's bringing me no joy and I should either donate it or sell it.

I thought our surgery was bad at having to wait for a week or two, but August? I'd definitely be changing of I had to wait that long, it just isn't on. Sometimes if we phone in the morning after 8am, we can sometimes get in the same day if we're lucky.

Keep your foot elevated faerie, and then hopefully it'll start to go down.

Well done WaS btw, very impressive!

  • Well done, Georgie! I am very impressed! I thought of you yesterday.

So Sorry about your foot, Faerie. Perhaps you need a little while longer to rest it.

Trainee doctors can be good Torry! That is how my thyroid was diagnosed. All of my regular doctors presumed it was mental illness, it took a new doctor with no preconceptions about me to spot it.

Thank you SDW! WaSp is so much happier now! I gave him a task which was to photograph the perfect summer picture for my desktop. He leapt on it as a challenge and has been planning where to go for the best photo!

Hahaha! Thank you everyone, I am rather proud of myself. Ten years ago when I was healthier WaSp and I vaguely contemplated starting a business together fixing computers. WaSp is extremely good at hardware and I am good at virus removal, it all began with what WaSp has taught me over the years and I enjoyed it so much that now I understand it more than he does, I see it a game more than work. For a while if WaSp got a virus-ridden computer at work he would pass it to me so that I could enjoy fixing it. Oddly, it is hugely comforting to my OCD, it's very methodical with little puzzles to solve and my brain likes that!

Aww thank you WaS :) That is so lovely and so kind of you. We weren't going to go, as the weather was abit iffy, and it's a long way to walk, but even though know he would have forgiven me, I'd have felt bad if I hadn't have gone, as he absolutely loved Father Day.

As an avid photographer myself, I'm so pleased that WaSp is really enjoying taking photographs! What fun that you have set him a challenge! Is there a photography club nearby that he could join perhaps?
