I love space dust! You can still buy it. What I haven't tried is popping candy which is apparently similar. I need to rectify that. I loved those necklaces Torry!

Well done, MU! And breathe. You got through it, you did amazing! Now try to think about other things for a while if you can.

    Well done MU.
In some respects, although horrible for you to go through, letting them see the impact of your illness on you may be a good thing and might help your claim.
And having the community team open to you if you need it is a positive thing as well.
And all over for now so go get those hugs.

Does anyone remember those sweets that were like a powder that fizzed in your mouth - can't remember what it was called for the life of me.

    Edited - space dust!!!

This? http://www.aquarterof.co.uk/space-dust-strawberry.html (I love this site btw!)

Yes Torry, I remember those too, I used to get the bracelets!

Those ice lollies sound awesome Calley, both D and me would love them I'm sure!

WaS, that's one of the reasons that bugs me with the plastic containers instead of the cardboard.

Well done MU, go and get those hugs x

Hugs faerie, glad you're feeling a little bit better today x

Well done Messed.. I think it was a good thing that you were wobbly during the assessment. It sounds like the assessor took pity on you and didnt want to put you through a long assessment if you arrived crying.. I'm sure it will be ok, but I understand how scary it is, waiting to hear back.
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)
  • How are you feeling Faerie? Hope you feel a little better!

OMG, just over 24 hours off the thread, and so much has happened!

Firstly, huge congratulations to MU for being such a wonderful person when someone was self-harming. I'm sure you were the most tremendous support, and really helped. And to WaS for being so honest in her reply. And to Pyxis for summarising it all so well xxxxx

And lovely to see solarjunkie, especially on your birthday xxxx

And to lambyr for being so honest, and I am proud to stand up and say I am a friend of so many lovely gay and lesbian people, both on this thread and IRL.

Hope you're OK, faerie - another one who wants to know why you fainted?? (if you know)

Mild curses to a few of the others of you, who are forcing me to go out and research sherbert fountains tomorrow :p :rotfl:

And OMG, good luck for your assessment (writeup) MU!

Pyxis, how are your tonsils? (Still wondering how you manage to keep an eye on these lol)

Hugs and squishes to anyone I have missed! xxxxxxxx

Morning all. I promise I will behave today and will stick to less contentious issues to post about.

For instance - what on earth do you buy for a 14 yr old girl? I love my niece dearly and we're really close, but I haven't got the faintest idea what to get for her birthday. Whenever I ask her I just get told she'll think about it. She's very much slipping into mono-syllabic teenager mode!

Vouchers for her favourite clothing shop perhaps? Depending on how much you want to spend, maybe a Pandora ring if she likes jewellery? I think they start at about £25-£30.

Is there a particular reason why Pyxis? She only posted yesterday. X

Tea, what does she like? Back in the days when I actually had girlfriends, I was in a long term relationship for many years with someone with children. Her daughter (13 when the relationship ended) was mad about horses, so was easy to buy for - new riding helmet / jacket / strange named riding trousery things / contribution to riding lessons / etc
