  • Good morning all,

Yesterday I visited the physio after work, to the tune of another £47.50 for 30 minutes. As before it included acupuncture, cupping and massaging. Due back in 2 weeks time, with plenty of 'homework' to do myself and give myself the best chance of improving. Then nipped into the gym, had a phone call with my aunt, watched the GBBO and went to bed. Snoozing for 10.30.

As an extra impetus to get up for the gym this morning, I had a facetime call with my step bro in South Korea. So i had a coffee and some breakfast whilst we chatted for half an hour. Going to make it a regular thing I think. So subsequently, I've been to the gym and feeling good for it. I've got yoga at lunch and I may even nip in after work to do my aforementioned homework!
  • Good morning everyone!

Yesterday I left work late, which was frustrating. It meant I didn't go to the gym as I had to make chicken and chorizo paella which took a decent amount of time - delicious though! I went to bed super early in an attempt to make my wakening at 5am easier. It didn't.

But, I've been to the gym. I'll finish work sharp today so I can get home to watch the football then I have football training afterwards. I'll hopefully get to bed at a reasonable time again.

Hope everyone has a nice day
  • Good morning and happy Friday to all!!

Got home yesterday to catch the football which finished just in time for football training. My knee held up well, it's just my fitness that needs working on. Got home and pretty much went to bed.

No gym this morning but I may go after work, depending on what time I get away at. I've agreed to chill with some of the boys tonight so not making any other plans. Still got some LO paella for dinner. I don't have plans this weekend, which I'm fine with, especially as the last few weekends have been busy. Looking forward to it tbh.
  • Good morning everyone,

A lovely weekend was had. Much of the usual stuff for me but I did manage to tick something off the bucket list. Whenever I have been in a coffee shop (rarely), 95% of the time I'm taking it away. The remaining time, I've always been with someone to sit and chat with and I've often seen people, sitting alone, reading with a coffee and it looks so peaceful, comforting, easy-going. So, that's what I done. I was due a free coffee in Cafe Nero, so not quite hipster/barista but nonetheless, it was nice to be hear the steamer, smell coffee and a true test of focus to not be distracted. It's the small things.

I had my FaceTime call with my step-bro in SK this morning, which I think is becoming a weekly thing. As he's now a stay at home dad, he's free at 5am UK time/2pm SK time. Nice to chat for an hour as I have my breakfast and ensures I go to the gym. Which I have. Left overs for dinner tonight and yoga afterwards.

    Yesterday was NSD 8.
  • Good morning everyone,

I left work at a reasonable time yesterday mostly because I got a lot of work done, not that I had plans. I was (and still am) suffering from DOMS in my legs from Sunday, so I didn't go to yoga. Instead I caught up on some TV, done some bits and bobs on the computer, read some of my book and had an early night.

Opted against the gym given the leg pain this morning. Not sure what happened in my brain but I left work 30 mins earlier than I have to. Oh well, I can get ahead of the game. I'll go to the gym tonight for a bit. Poached egg and spicy rice for dinner, a Jamie Oliver recipe I think.
  • Speky - I had lost my subscription to your diary! Not sure what happened but I am back now and have caught up.
    Hope you're doing well today.
  • Hey CCL. Not to worry. The forums can be a bit temperamental at times.

    Happy hump day.

A quiet day yesterday. Visited the gym for an hour after work then home for a healthy dinner and a catch up with the boys on the Xbox. Bed for 10.

Oh - and I seem to be the only person in the world who didn't watch the bake off last night, that's priority for tonight

Been to the gym this morning, so feeling much better for it already. I'm going to give yoga a miss at lunch as my legs are still hurting from my gym session on Sunday and that would just be torture. Plus side to that is that today should pass without a spend too. I wasn't planning on being in the house this evening as I was due in London but my trip has been cancelled, so I'll need to make something with what I have in the fridge. Any suggestions for what I can make with potatoes, chillies, eggs and bacon? I'm thinking some sort of hash?

Obviously the above with variations, and it's for two so amend as necessary. I'd add in some onion and peppers or other veg if you had any to hand. Sounds good.

  • Good morning,

    Happy Halloween!

I had a super productive day in work yesterday but towards the end my stomach was making noises I'd never heard the likes of - and it wasn't hunger. So I didn't go to the gym and went home to make your recommendation Joey, thank you again! Very nice it was, too. Watched GBBO, a deserved winner I think. He's been consistently in the top few almost every week.

I also had some back and fourth with my letting agents here in Manchester. My agreement is due for renewal and given that in the last month I've applied for 2 jobs which are based in London, I won't want to commit to a 12 month agreement (and be liable for the remaining months if I need to leave early). So I'm trying to negotiate it down to a rolling contract but I'm not sure the landlord will accept that. We'll see.

Woke this morning feeling shattered. Opted to rely on my backup alarm, which give me an extra 20 minutes, only to wake an hour and half later to see it was only due to ring on Fridays! So no gym this morning. End of the month signals pay day and our monthly works dinner out. I think we're going to our local Nando's. So no NSD today for me. I'm also going to nip into the local markets to see if I can find an Xmas gift for my gran, too.
