Can you guess I was on a day off today and dossing on the internet? Glad it made sense, I have a tendency to ramble when I get started. Would be great if you manage to get some good rewards essentially with work paying for it.0

I do much the same, so I can completely understand. Although my rambles tend to be less informative than yours. Thank you again.0 -
Morning everyone,
Well and truly back into the route yesterday as I stayed in the office till around 7. From there, I went straight to yoga which was really enjoyable. Became conscious of the progress I've made for the first time.
No gym this morning as I'll do some sort of exercise tonight; either boxing or the gym. Need to squeeze in an hour to finally watch the finale of GoT. Although I think I accidentally read a spoiler. Damn!
No spends yesterday marked number 9 for the month, with no planned spends today either.0 -

But what if I'm not paid until a month later? So for example;
20th May - Pay for travel, food accommodation etc on credit card
31st May - Card is due to be paid off IN FULL
15th June - Expenses paid back by my work
Doesn't that defeat the purpose? Or am I misunderstanding?
LOL ChasingSunshine explained it all very clearly so nothing for me to addSounds like a good plan!

Good morning everyone,
Happy hump day.
Another late night last night in the office. The bright evenings are deceiving me and I often lose track of time. I anticipated it was going to be a late one so I cancelled my boxing class in the evening. Finally got home, caught up on GoT and swiftly went to bed.
Went to the gym this morning in anticipation that I might again be working late tonight. Although I'd rather not. I want to get packed and prepared for Berlin on Friday - Saturday. Need to make sure I've got the right attire so I might have to dip to the trafford centre and pick up some items. I hope not though.
Today will be NSD #11, woohoo!0 -
Good morning everyone,
I stayed late-ish yesterday in work and then home to cook a full chicken which took over an hour, so my night was mostly spent dithering around the house waiting on the bird to cook.
An earlier start for me as I woke too late for the gym but too early for work. Decided just to head in nonetheless. Need to disappear a bit earlier today anyway for a quick trip to the docs then a visit to the trafford centre to buy a new pair of work shoes in advance of my trip to Berlin tomorrow. So no NSD today.
Feeling quite excited about this trip away. I'm the only person representing my company and I'll be spending 24 hours with 2 brands at the same time. So there's a bit of pressure on me to make sure it goes well. Plus, it's worth a lot of money to us and importantly, to me in commission!! I recon I'll know by my flight home on Saturday night what the outcome will be. I can only do my best.0 -
Morning all,
Looooooooong story but in short, I've been consumed with an anxious feeling around work following my business trip to Berlin last week. So I've come into the office first thing to get a head start and hope that I can get my head above water to breath a bit.
I've brought some chicken and rice with me for lunch and I have L/O pasta for dinner. I went to to the SM yesterday just before 6 only to be told they were shutting (!!!) so I need to go back tonight.
Have a good day0 -
Hope you're doing ok Speky…Not giving up

Morning everyone,
I've been a bit awol lately. Last week, Friday and Saturday, I was in Berlin entertaining three German clients. Whilst I've been speaking with them on the phone and email for months and months, this was the first time I met with them and the plan was to enjoy a nice meal on Friday then go to watch some sport on the Saturday. The guys were nice and friendly, the events went well and business was discussed. By the time it was my flight home on Saturday night, I was 90% sure that our big business deal wasn't going to happen - which is (kind of) fine. I work in sales I can handle rejection. But as soon as I touched down in Manchester I was consumed with this all compassing anxious worry, not only about this particular sale but others, then work in general, then my life decisions! "What was I thinking leaving all my friends and family and moving 300 miles away!"
For 3 days I was in a really weird place. I couldn't focus on anything without thinking or worrying about work/life. I went to the gym, watched a documentary, read my book, played the Xbox, listened to podcasts and listened to music to try and distract myself and through it all, I couldn't shake this feeling. I ended up going into work on Sunday, Monday (a bank holiday) and then 5am on Tuesday in the hope that I would find relief in being on top of my work. It's helped.
Sorry for the long post but in my 28 years on this planet, I've never really felt any mental stress like that. It's completely new and alien to me. I took a lot of pride in feeling confident about my mental well being and for it to have flipped so severely and quickly really took me by surprise.
I need to get back into a routine, so here I am. I'll visit the gym tonight and I'll speak to my pals on the xbox afterwards to hopefully take my mind off things.
Hope everyone has a lovely day0 -
Hi Speky,
Its been a while but I have been silently following. I have suffered depression in the past but a few months ago I got really bad anxiety, I had never had it before and it was a total shock how much it effected things. I guess as soon as sleep is effected everything goes to pot! Started doing more regular yoga the yoga with adriene on youtube series has some great ones for anxiety. And using a site called meditatinment which I would listen to, to go to sleep, it meditating but with the distraction that it takes you to a location like a garden or igloo or beach or something and you chill there for a bit and then drift off, its been really helpful and although still at times get it a bit as my sleep is improving everything else is beginning to get easierDebt: £14,000 now £2169Emergency Fund: 1000/ £1000:j0
