Bluddy annoying, isn't it? Bad enough that they sold us down the river by selling their broadband and landline operation, but at least at that point we could keep our email addys.
Very annoying. I have 2 mobiles with them (mine on contract & DD's on pay-as-you-go) so I thought I'd be fine and not have to find another email unless I changed my mobile.

Hugs, sticks, spoons, get well soons and vibes to all :)

Yesterday evenings plan didn't go to plan. DD was in a foul mood (a certain boy flirting with her in Italian apparently for an entire lesson:rotfl::rotfl:) so I let her beat the rug but had to stick around as it was freaking Zack out. When she finally finished I went to go and have a shower and the bulb in the bathroom was flickering like mad. So I switched it out, with DD's help, for the one in my bedroom. The bathroom is now like its being lit by the sun and the bulb wouldn't go into the one in my room and work. Turns out one of the pins had got jammed so I had to flip the fuse for the lights (which is ALL the lights in the house ) and fix it, flipped the fuse again and the light still isn't working. Now it could be the bulb so I have to go and buy at least 2 today (another one in the house has been changed out to my last 'normal' one instead of energy saving) or it could be the fitting in which case the landlord needs to get it sorted. Then again I've just discovered the electrical safety certificate is overdue so I need to mention that and the fact the electrical work I asked to be done last May still hasn't been done! Also, where has the last year gone?!?!?:eek:

While I went to work DD did the washing up (she'd produced most of the dishes anyway!), and ironed a blouse for today. Then we sat and watched the end of Superman which we recorded over Christmas and started watching the Legend of Zorro....we're getting there slowly with catching up with things we've not seen :o:rotfl:

Today's plan is to pay bills/finances, more laundry (WM is already on with the smelly sofa cover, then its throws and dogs toys with his bed if there is enough time/washing line), clear the ironing pile, have a bath/shower, Mr A for bulbs & some fresh bits, and meet DD from her club. I've told her to text me when she leaves the actual club so I have a chance to get myself sorted and start walking up to where she gets off the bus (about a 10 minute plus walk on a good day) because as the nights are getting lighter more and more groups of lads seem to be hanging around there messing around on quad/off road bikes :( They're not necessarily out to cause trouble, but I saw them last time being stupid and I don't want DD getting caught up in the crossfire if 2 rival groups meet. But she's nearly 15 and won't be told until she sees something bad happen.

Morning all and welcome to all newbies and returnees!

Well today's plans have gone right out of the window as we were up most of the night. Get well soon vibes heading to everyone who is off colour at the moment or who is looking after someone who is; seems to be a lot of lurgies around.

Done everything on the list apart from mop the floor which I'll do later. Been destashing some yarn so going to bag it all up now, head to the Post Office and then to local shops as run of out bread and almost run out of milk.

For those of you who have teenagers, do girls go through a really horrible stage where they look at you like you are the worst person in the world ever ... going through that with Z now and it's hard to deal with on my own as my self esteem is a bit fragile but brushing it off as just being yet another 'phase'. I tell myself sweet little Z is still there somewhere amongst the music mad, make up mad, hormones and argumentative person she is turning into .... hard work.

Mumof2 pop over to the knitters thread someone's asking about your wool.

Re teen girls some do some don't they are all different. Hold on in there they do grow out of it and you do get back to a loving and very worthwhile relationship. Your lovely dd is still in there she's just wrestling with her hormones and needs love support and guidance. Even if it does make you lose sleep and grind your teeth for a couple of years.
As long as she knows you love her there is nothing wrong with occasionally pointing out that while you love her you hate her behaviour and attitude at times and point out that you have feeling to and expect to be treated with respect.

    Hell yes!!

Eye rolling, door slamming and tantrum throwing comes next.. just ignore it or laugh it off... And boy do it too but they shout and get really loud rather than drama llama Queen!

My youngest boy pulls a face where half is droopy.. so in my best Quasimodo voice I ask if he has had a stroke or has Bells palsy or if he is only half miserable... Pandering to their erratic moods does nothing to dissuade them from continuing.. I have been known to go full on Drama Llama on them if they insist on carrying on.. Once they realise it isnt gaining them anything they try to find other ways to bug you.. She will turn into herself at about 18/19 if you're lucky.. :)

My favourite with DD2 ... EERR-MEH-GERD Her Royal Moodiness has entered... Everyone stop smiling!! .. we got a grin before she had chance to woe-is-me on us.

    I'm a horrid parent! lol

Been away and/or out so nothing done but signing up late rather than never. Have put several loads through mc and hoping some of it will dry outside as no tumbler here. Found timer on new phone so am setting it for 15 mins at a time and alternating between sitting and doing so I don't burn self out. Have been out more and moving more which is good but exhausting so need to pace. Have 2 hrs before DS and OH arrive home so that equates to 8 15min slots. 4 of those at rest so next one will be hoover LR, not worrying to much about tidying yet. Then rest, then dining, rest, kitchen, rest, lastly hall and maybe stairs. Will be some achievement if I can get all that done. Wish me luck, my alarm is beeping so LR it is.

That's a great way to get going procrastinator, will have to try that. Have zero motivation right now. Am really struggling with both littlies home and one being so poorly, haven't even managed to get dressed, let alone unload the DW. I have had a think about how I want my bedroom to look, so started moving stuff snd realised how thick with dust behind everything is. Got the Hoover out then realised if I'm moving all of the furniture about I should really clean the carpet as in, shampoo it, so I don't have to move everything twice and that put paid to my efforts! Not a good excuse really, will try harder!
